Restaurant Wjelbik (meaning "pantry") is located in a 600-year old building in Bautzen. It's owned by the Mahling family, with their daughter Monika in charge of the restaurant and her husband Thomas Lukas operating as head chef. On the Wjelbik menu you'll find traditional Saxon and Lusatian dishes, such as Sorbian Wedding Soup, Lausitzer trout fillet and Caramelized rhubarb compote. Try a locally brewed beer or a fine wine to make your meal even sweeter. If you're staying in town for the night, you can rest in the Hotel Dom-Eck, a Sorbian hotel near the Wjelbik.

Schöne Speisekarte, nicht zu groß. Saisonale und regionale Besonderheiten. Ein Augenschmaus vor allem auch die Vor- und Nachspeise. Sehr netter Service.

Wer einen herzlichen Empfang, aufmerksamen Service und Köstliches erleben will, ist im Wjelbik bestens aufgehoben. Meiner Mutter hat es sehr gut gefallen und es hat ihr sehr gut geschmeckt, mir natürlich auch. Vielen Dank für Ihre Gastfreundschaft. Familie Weinhardt

Für uns das beste Restaurant in Bautzen. Ein angenehmes Ambiente, ein tolles Team und regionale Küche auf Spitzenniveau. Wir haben einen netten Abend hier verbracht und würden das Restaurant auf jeden Fall empfehlen.
