Restaurant Wjelbik (meaning "pantry") is located in a 600-year old building in Bautzen. It's owned by the Mahling family, with their daughter Monika in charge of the restaurant and her husband Thomas Lukas operating as head chef. On the Wjelbik menu you'll find traditional Saxon and Lusatian dishes, such as Sorbian Wedding Soup, Lausitzer trout fillet and Caramelized rhubarb compote. Try a locally brewed beer or a fine wine to make your meal even sweeter. If you're staying in town for the night, you can rest in the Hotel Dom-Eck, a Sorbian hotel near the Wjelbik.

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant mit tollem Ambiente. Die Qualität, sowie Geschmack des Essens haben uns absolut überzeugt und die Bedienung war sehr engagiert und freundlich. Gerne wieder. Es empfiehlt sich vorher zu reservieren.

Ambiente sehr gut und gemütlich, das Personal super nett und aufmerksam, das Essen hat allen sehr gut geschmeckt, war stilvoll angerichtet und reichlich. Man schmeckt, dass alles frisch zubereitet wird und die Zutaten von sehr guter Qualität sind. Die Preise sind angemessen aber nicht überteuert. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wie immer, wenn wir dort zum Essen gehen, hat alles super geschmeckt. Die Bedienung war auch sehr höflich und zuvorkommend . Sehr zu empfehlen auch für Familienfeiern. Wir kommen wieder.

Das Restaurant Wjelbik in Bautzen bietet ein unvergessliches kulinarisches Erlebnis. Die traditionelle sorbische Küche wird hier auf höchstem Niveau präsentiert, wobei jedes Gericht mit Liebe zum Detail zubereitet wird. Die gemütliche Atmosphäre und der aufmerksame Service tragen dazu bei, dass man sich sofort willkommen fühlt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Vielfalt der Speisekarte. Ein Besuch im Wjelbik ist daher wärmstens zu empfehlen.

Mit Freunden da gewesen und es war sehr angenehm. Der Serivce war sehr gut und das Essen hervorragend und ausreichend. Wir sind von einem Hauptgang schon satt gewesen. Sehr gute Weinekarte. Es hat einfach alles gestimmt. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.
