   As usual, the Dicken’s Buffet at the Chateau Laurier’s Wilfred’s restaurant was a lively way ti kick off the Christmas season. The food is wonderful and the ambiance spectacular. It is a perennial favourite.

   Prior to Covid, we always went to the Chateau for our anniversary. During the lockdown down the hotel was shuttered & we really missed keeping up with our tradition. The Chateau (and Churchill) is back & as good as ever!

   This is the second time we have booked the "Dickens Lunch" and it was even better than the first visit. Excellent food and great selection. A holiday treat.

   Omed? Guessing at the spelling was great!!! It was ridiculous I wasn’t initially able to get a 9 am reservation as the restaurant was only 50 percent full when we arrived.. they had offered 7 am on Sunday when I called the restaurant directly..

   Very disappointed in the brunch today. The hot items in the buffet were cold and not very fresh. I will think twice about returning.

   There were many dishes offered, I selected the chicken and salmon with a variety of salads, they turned out to be delicious. The desserts were superb, we enjoyed the buffet.

   My wife and I found breakfast at Wilfrid's to be a decent experience, nothing special, just average. The food is okay, nothing special. The service is also okay, and the wait staff were friendly and relatively efficient. Other than having to wait about 5 minutes at the entrance until someone showed up to seat us, there were no issues with the service. The decor, view and general ambiance is very good. There were quite a few children at breakfast time, so there were a couple of children wandering around, and it can be a bit noisy at times. (We found the kids cute). Note that this is a hotel restaurant so prices are probably at least double what you would pay in a comparable stand-alone restaurant. Overall our breakfast experience at Wilfrid's was okay.
