   Favorite date place. Had a new server. Forgot to inquire about dessert. But we enjoyed ourselves. Situated between two groups of loud celebrations but it isn’t the restaurant fault

   Excellent Italian food in Tucson, AZ? Yes! My wife and I dined here on a recent visit to Tucson. Normally, I would be all in on Mexican, but we are considering Tucson for retirement and wanted to check out some of the other cuisine available. Vivace delivers excellent food in a very nice setting with both mountain and city views from its location. I had the eggplant lasagne. It was not quite an eggplant parm, but still had enough cheesiness to satisy. The light tomato sauce was perfect, relying on the flavor of the tomatoes more than strong spices (no heavy oregano). My wife loved her veal picatta with fettucini. The veal was tender (of course) and very well prepared. The sauce was delicious and delicate. Both our desserts, spumoni and a lemon tart, were delicious as well. Service was very good, friendly and professional. The ambiance was hurt a bit when the staff set up a big table right next to us during service. A last note is that the drinks are fantastic - appropriately strong and very generous. I had a manhattan riff that was excellent and my wife loved her lemon drop. A generous tip and we were still well under $200 for the meal. You can't beat that in our area (DC).

   Went last night for my wife’s birthday. Everyone and everything was perfect. Hostess was friendly and professional and asked me whose birthday it was. Had a wonderful table for two facing the courtyard. Server was excellent and didn’t rush us but was consistently available if needed. Fish soup was great and probably too much for one person so be prepared for leftovers. Couldn’t ask for a better evening.

   We are regulars almost weekly for late lunch. Daily fish special is my favorite pick. My husband goes for the pasta. Service is great as are the cocktails. 👍

   My wife and I went there for our anniversary and the experience was just amazing. We’ve been there so many times and each time more impressed than the last. We started it off with the escargot and then the main course was the crab stuffed chicken that was just fantastic. Timing is everything regarding a server and Felix was great.

    Vivace remains one of Tucson's dining gems. Superb menu options, expertly prepared, and delightful to savor. The staff handles special needs readily. And the views of Tucson and sunsets are unmatched.
