    My husband made a reservation here for my birthday lunch, as we’ve heard good things about the restaurant. We were underwhelmed by the food. My French Onion soup was bland, as was my chopped salad. My husband ordered a burger that was so rare he barely ate any of it. My mother ordered the chicken BLT that had the skimpiest lettuce and tomato on it. At the end of the meal the waiter asked if anyone wanted dessert and said for someone’s birthday they offer a scoop of vanilla ice cream…..presentation was nothing to speak of. Even the chain restaurant’s presentations have a celebratory flair of some kind….even if it’s just a candle. Anyways, just my honest impression….

    The Twisted Olive was a great dining experience with superior customer service by our waiter Jeff. Our entrees were delicious and the wine is fantastic. Highly recommend The Twisted Olive for dinner or special occasion.

    The waiter was inexperienced and poorly trained. I hate to be hard on him as he was mannerly and pleasant. Rather I chalk this up to a management failure to properly educate him on spirits and beverages, the menu and preparations and appropriate suggestive selling. After a preliminary cocktail, he never asked if we would like a wine with dinner. Or a dessert. We would have ordered a bottle but never had the opportunity it to do so. He didn’t know what top shelf vodka the bar stocked. And instead of finding out, he had to be sent to the bar many times to learn what vodkas were stocked. Lack of common sense easily corrected with better training.

    The food and the service was excellent. It was a great place to take our daughter while she was visiting for Christmas. We enjoyed everything about our experience.
