   Overall it was a good experience. I chose the fish and chips which came with plenty of mushy peas. However I found the chips and peas quite dry.

   The food here used to be excellent, but on our last few visits it seems to have dropped to pretty good, but no longer fair value for money. Especially considering the prices have gone up. The other thing I am not so happy with is the automatic 10% service charge. You can ask for this to be removed, but I would much rather choose to give a tip, then be coerced into it. Finally we booked in advance and on arrival our table was not ready, then as we sat down we were informed that they would need the table back by 3pm. No pressure! As it happened we were out of there long before the deadline. In conclusion, simply not as good as it used to be and a little more expensive. This has encouraged me to try some alternative restaurants next time we want to go out for Sunday dinner. I would still recommend the Swan, but I think I would also consider alternatives.

   What we liked: - Great service - Really friendly, helpful, attentive staff - Great pub - Very nice pub and lots of sections so not too noisy or shouty What we didn't like: - Very limited and uninspiring menu. Feel sorry for vegetarians and vegan customers with literally no choice - Food was very overpriced and fairly poor. We are still wondering how a really basic margherita pizza could have a crispy base and only taste of puree. The fish from the fish and chips was wet so presumably not fully defrosted. If you are going to do such a basic menu then you need to get it right. Would we return? No, no one in our group would go back

   As always the Staff are very friendly and welcoming. I have a gluten and lactose intolerance and the menu is always adaptable and the chef always accommodates. Super place to go.

   Regular visitors. Always great service and although had to wait a little while to be served it was entirely understandable as coach party enroute to Cheltenham races had arrived before us.

    All who ordered the Sunday roast were presented with a barely warm dinner. Asked to be reheated and ending up with soggy cracking with the already fatty pork so inedible. Told waitress but no action following this.
