The Sovereign is a Belgian bar & bistro committed to celebrating the rustic cuisine & fabled brewing culture of Belgium. Located in the vibrant Georgetown neighborhood, the Sovereign's kitchen is led by Executive Chef Andres Zuluaga whose classic, ingredient-driven Belgian dishes draw on French, German & Dutch cooking techniques & traditions.     The beer selection was incredible. We had the rabbit and the chicken and it was great. The location is a little secluded but they did a great job turning it into a cozy bar and restaurant.

    Mike was fantastic, and so was the busser who’s name I did not get, very quick and effective. Beer suggestions were amazing, which Mike is solely responsible for. The one thing that I would suggest as it stuck out to me was the blue linen cart in the front, it was way too close to the door and was very noticeable, as well as near Wisconsin ave there is a stack of boxes that was sort of an eye sore. Nevertheless, great expirence, great food, and last but certainly not least great service by Mike and the Busser.

    We drive an hour and a half for a taste of Belgium. Great beers on tap and delicious Belgian treats. We love it!

    The Sovereign was an excellent find for us while visiting DC! At the end of a full day we wanted a nice dinner in the Georgetown area and this place was a gem. Great food (best mussels my wife has had) and delicious drinks (awesome Belgian beer selection) made for an outstanding dinner!

    The overall extent was outstanding! The food was superb. The service was excellent. The ambiance was great. The only thing that tarnished the visit was trash cans along the alley to enter the restaurant and a few rats scurrying around them.

    Cozy restaurant at the end of an alley. Lots of food and drink choices. They have an extensive beer list. Food and service were both good. I would definitely eat here again.
