   Always great. Have been going here for 20 years. A hidden gyem is their homemade ice cream. The trout was excellent. They make their own fettuccini. YUMMY

   Year after year, the Restaurant at Convict Lake remains one of the high points of our trips to Mammoth. From pre-dinner cocktails to perfectly prepared and elegantly presented main courses and irresistible desserts, the meals are among our favorites of all the restaurants we visit in California. Add the outstanding service and spectacular natural setting, and it's clear why the longstanding reputation of this charming dining establishment continues to grow.

   It was a lovely family dinner, that included our well-behaved 7 yr old grandson. I wasn't sure if the young one would be welcome, but he was. We were celebrating my return to skiing after recovery from two hip replacements. So we needed a restaurant worthy of the happy occasion. The Restaurant at Convict Lake delivered. The food was awesome & the service was attentive but not stuffy. I had my favorite, Beef Wellington, which was superb. The steak frites and the lamb were also enjoyed by our party. The bosc pear endive salad was abundant & delicious. We were too full to even consider desserts although the dessert menu also looked awesome. A special memorable dinner in a lovely rural setting.

   Great dining experience with family or friends. Quality EVERYTHING- drinks, apps, soup and main dish. Dessert —- bananas foster is a must!
