The Palm Court’s Afternoon Tea truly shines with custom tableware and china, a fragrant tea list steeped in history, and of course, a bit of precocious Eloise too. Guests are invited to nibble on our in-house Pastry Chef’s unique culinary offerings like delicate finger sandwiches, buttery scones and elegant desserts, which are all made from scratch with local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients.

Hours:
Breakfast* | 6:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Confirmed breakfast reservations at The Palm Court
are reserved for hotel guests at this time.

Afternoon Tea | 11:00 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Evening Prix Fixe | 6 p.m. – 11 p.m.

Keep these four walls filled with the buzzing excitement that makes our castle on Central Park a location that continues to withstand the test of time. We will welcome guests at 9PM through 1AM. Cancellations made within 14 days of the event will be non-refundable. No shows will be non-refundable.

The Plaza Palm Court is beautiful. Holiday decor adds to the magical feeling. I have enjoyed afternoon tea at the Plaza 4 times before this and am sorry to say it is far from what it has been in years past. While the same tiered trays are used to serve the cute little tea sandwiches, the elevated experience doesn’t feel as special or elegant as it did. $155 for a holiday tea was the only option unless we wanted more caviar. The Plaza tea blend was delicious- but no more loose leaf tea- it’s served already brewed. The dainty sugar cubes have been replaced with packets. And the servers no longer take the time to go through the sandwiches and desserts as they are delivered. It’s still beautiful. The food was fine. But I’m now looking forward to visiting other tea places that have a much better value for what you pay.

Our overall experience was incredibly disappointing. We were warned that going to The Plaza was overrated, but we thought we’d give it a shot to see the decorations. You have to make reservations at one of the restaurants or stay in the hotel to see them. The service wasn’t good, everything was over priced, and the food was soooo not worth the price. We won’t go back and we will try to warn others, as someone tried to warn us.

If you’re looking for a New York, New York dining experience this should be at the top of your list. Pricey, yes, but overall it’s an experience that you’ll always recall, as I’m sure we will as we celebrated a marriage milestone.

Dinner at the Plaza is an experience I’ll never forget! The Christmas time decorations added to an already amazing ambiance. The server my wife and I had, was stellar. We had the New York Tier menu item and each item was delish…and some of the things I don’t even eat, so they must have been good! An unforgettable experience for an already amazing time of year! Will definitely come back again on our next New York trip!

Great holiday decor and comfortable seating. The check in was frustrating and the food was mixed. The deserts were exceptional while the mains were mostly left on the plate. It felt more like a one and done kind of experience, not something I would go back and do again.

Elvish really went ABOVE and beyond. I honestly think this experience was undercharged and I never say that. They had coat check, made arrangements for my nut allergy without me even asking, I had 3 points of contact congratulate us for our anniversary. We genuinely didn’t expect anything and they surprised us with a dessert. Then I believe was the manager is started with a Y- I’m so mad I forgot her name was so personable and took the time to get to know us and really make our experience memorable. My boyfriend and I walked out and said “Wow that was the best service we’ve experienced from any place”. Do not hesitate and reserve your spot asap, especially during the holiday season. Thank you guys for making our evening so amazing.
