   We came for restaurant week and had also recently heard that the head chef was nominated for a James Beard award this year, so we were excited for meal. We had great service during our meal and the food was good with my burger being a little overcooked and underseasoned for my liking but the homemade pickles were great and liked that they used Ashe County cheese on the burger. My wife liked her trout and the beet salad, but she would have liked a few more beets. All in all it was a good meal.

   We booked here as we saw they were a James Beard nominee. Not so impressed. We had food from the Asheville Restaurant week Menu. Food was fair. Fish was bland. And my dessert didn’t taste as described. Didn’t notice the toffee and the vanilla buttermilk icecream tasted more like lemon. Agree w prior reviews that the timing for serving was off. Got my salad before I finished my cocktail and then had to wait ~30 min for the entree. Overall 3/5

   Our food was excellent. Ambience was terrific, although the pop music soundtrack seems a bit out of place. Service was fine, but way way too slow. I realize the restaurant was full —it was restaurant week— but the wait between courses was too long. We even had to ask our server what was happening with our dessert, something we never do. So while I might go back for the food, I’d make sure I didn’t have anyplace to go afterwards.

   Great entrees and an attentive wait staff. The salad was wonderful as was the dessert we shared.

   Asheville Restaurant Week special menu was a very good selection from their regular menu. Good introduction to their restaurant for our 1st visit. We look forward to returning. Parking on the street nearby or in the very nearby parking lot.

   We haven't been here in soooo long. Mostly because I did not care that it seemed so bright....but I was wrong, or it is better now? Anyway, ambience, hostess greeting, server, food....everything was top notch! We be back soon!

   Nice farm to table fare. Entree options were quite limited. My wife had seen the shrimp and grits on the menu online and when we got there it was missing. Very pricey entrees. We each had the lamb shank at $42! Frankly, I was still hungry which the waiter had assured me would not be the case.

   A reliably excellent choice of restaurants for either a couple or a group. We had a quiet meal with four new friends at the round table in the corner. Our server was efficient, attentive and pleasant. He successfully split the check among three parties! Because we eat at Market Place regularly, we would appreciate innovation in the menu. New fish and vegetable offerings will bring us back more often.

   Great cocktails! The menu is nice with the small plate offerings, and the mains range from a burger (yum!) to lamb shank (also yum).

    4.5 This is a delightful and delicious place. We had a party of 8 and all went smoothly. Extra step-we didn’t love the first wine we picked and the server found an off menu wine he thought we would enjoy and we did! Going above and beyond.
