We are not just a restaurant, but an institution in Arlington. The first floor of our restored historic property houses an inviting bar and lounge that remains vibrant all hours of the day. Our upstairs dining room offers professional service, a warm ambiance, and a menu featuring rustic, modern American cuisine. We are devoted to in-house production: we bake all of our own bread and pastas, sausages, and desserts. Our beverage program features creative specialty cocktails, a diverse wine list, and a great selection of premium draft and bottled beer. We are known for our unlimited small plates brunch on the weekend and late night dancing Friday through Sunday. Liberty To-Go offers a separate carry-out entrance on Irving Street where wood-fired pizzas, house-made pastas, fresh salads and other specialties are offered for enjoyment at home.

I had a 2pm reservation for brunch, they sat us 25 minutes late, which was fine. But then they told us our last call was 3:20 so we didn’t even get an hour of the “90 minute” brunch service. Felt rushed when I was on time. Some food was brought out, some not at all, and some twice. Seemed a bit disorganized. Server was a sweet lady, not her fault she was very busy. I’ll go back to Ambar.

All the meals were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in our party of four. Larger pizza was very generous; took home half for another meal. Wine prices are quite reasonable for the DC area. Service very good, despite the Brunch crowd. Only real issue was the noise level: it was very busy, though, and people might have been really enjoying their bottomless (or very inexpensive) cocktail/beverage choices. One of our party uses a hearing aid, and the ambient volume made conversation with him nearly impossible. Not the fault of the restaurant, just basic acoustics and energetic patrons.

Our server was excellent and was able to balance a busy Valentine’s Day dinner with giving us individual attention. Overall the restaurant was quiet yet had an alive buzz to it. The food was excellent, the salmon and accompanying vegetables were fantastically cooked and paired with a delectable sauce. The Brussel sprouts served as our dessert of the night and were a fantastic choice and full of rich flavor.

Good food; prices seemed a tad high, for 10" pizzas, but we enjoyed it overall. I would try it again on another day.

A little hiccup in the beginning, but Sean made everything right! Andrea; our server, was attentive and efficient. The coffee cake with espresso caramel topping was EVERYTHING!!!

Solid good. Great service - from the front desk to the server to the food runner. At a busy Sunday brunch.
