   Food was good, hot, but a bit fast, came out just minutes after diner salads and appetizers. Waitresses was just ok, not the best we have had there

   Steak was good, salad and bread was good. I got my steak Oscar style and the crab was not great. It certainly didn’t seem fresh. I would recommend just getting the steak as is and skipping the Oscar style.

   Great value - like near the best value I have ever seen for that quality of food. Had the filet and potatoes wedges with a side of potato soap; all were amazing. Sat at the bar and service was top-notch. Dine with confidence and you will enjoy it for sure

   The hostess that sat us, cared for our table more than our actual waitress. I wish she got the tip. The hostess brought our bread and drinks for us and then the waitress took our order. Waitress was super nice and very knowledgeable on the menu. But then our food was served and never saw the waitress again until we were wanting to leave and she finally showed up for our bill. The hostess checked in for drink refills before we got our bill. Our steaks were very good but our sides were just okay. Nothing super fancy about the restaurant. We are not from the area and were in town for an event. We would not return to this place again for dinner. Plus my 3 kids were freezing the entire time ready to leave because it was fairly chilly. They wore their coats the entire time we dinned.

   I had seen mixed reviews on the Gas House. My biggest complaint was the management would not address an intoxicated man sitting at a table a few feet away from us. He ruined everyone's dining experience. He berated the people he was having dinner with. He literally put his server in tears. She was also our server and she just stop coming around. It took 30 minutes before she would even take our dinner order. Over all the food was okay. Not planning on going back again.

   I have a food allergy (chives, scallions, green onions) that I notified the server about and is part of my profile here on Open Table. When I placed the order, I was assured that I would be fine -- and that the kitchen would be notified. When the meal was delivered, I asked if the mashed potatoes had them in the mix (I could see flecks of green in the potatoes). The server said that they were part of the potato skin. When I insisted she ask the kitchen once again, she returned and grabbed the plate, saying they DID have green onions. While I appreciate that I didn't consume anything that makes me very sick, the fact that I had to insist, even after being told twice the dish was OK for me, I was served something that I'm highly allergic to. It concerns me that, evidently, this restaurant isn't taking allergies seriously. After this mistake, the server brought me french fries and said, "Don't worry, I'm not charging you extra!" You think? There was no offer of anything -- dessert or a drink -- to compensate for the error. The dish I had -- chicken -- was really delicious, and I wasn't looking for my entire meal to be complimentary. Still, an offer to show empathy about their error would have been appreciated and seems to be an elementary standard of customer service.
