The Crosby Bar & Terrace is located on a quiet, cobblestoned street inside Soho’s Crosby Street Hotel. We offer modern American cuisine in a spacious room with high ceilings, long pewter bar, gray oak floors and tall warehouse-style windows which look out to the trees at the hotel’s entrance and the garden on Lafayette. It has an altogether leafy, breezy feel with lots of light throughout the day.

We were staying at the hotel and had friends in from out of town join us for dinner. The restaurant was packed. Our server was very attentive. We had a couple of bottles of wine which were very fully priced. When the our mains came out they were cold and had clearly been sitting on a counter. I sent back my mussels and fries and my friend did the same with his steak. Our wives had salmon which came out room temperature. While they made things right and comped desserts, I pretty dis appointing overall.

We were here for the afternoon tea. The food was excellent, much better than the typical hotel tea. It was pretty noisy in the main area, but we lucked out with a table in an alcove. The hotel lobby and side room is charming and the restaurant has whimsical touches. We would be happy to go back.

I’ve been here before for business and leisure. Every time I go, the service, drinks and food always hit the spot. I usually sit at the bar and love the conversations and cocktails with Bruce. This most recent visit was for another business meeting (party of 4) and we sat in the newer patio style area— which is gorgeous. Our server Tracy went above and beyond as did the food runners. Food was excellent, we got the filet mignons with Mac and cheese.

We requested a private and quiet table and we were put in the back conservatory room, where only one other couple was also enjoying tea. The main bar room can feel noisy and cramped especially at its busiest time. The hostess was apologetic about a 10 minute delay, but it was to accommodate our request for privacy. The server was attentive, offered more food as the tea went on, and it was one of the best afternoon teas I’ve had in Manhattan. Highly recommended.

Absolutely charming place with an elegant tea service. I loved the beautiful room which was lively and filled with chic guests. The food was so great especially the scones. We wish we had more scones but there was plenty to eat! The tea was delicious and the whole experience was glamorous and fun. Also the service was extraordinary. The servers were helpful and sweet. ~ I highly recommend!

This is a cramped, deafeningly noisy rest/bar off the lobby of the Crosby Hotel. The food, which is acceptable, and the wine, which is well chosen and varied, are over-priced. The service was friendly, but incompetent, at first, which caused one of our party to describe it as "semi-professional"; but when the main courses came, the service turned nasty. Some of the food was not what we ordered and some of the food was cold. When we pointed this out, we got the full treatment from the waiter--sneers, rolled eyes, raised voice. And then we were ignored for at least 20 minutes. By the time my food came--God knows what they might have done to it in the kitchen--my fellow diners had finished with theirs. I was seething and wanted to leave a ten cent tip (not ten percent; one dime!); but my companions were opposed to that so we left 15%. I can't recall a more disappointing experience in a New York restaurant. Stay away; far away.

The food this time was sub par! I had the spinach salad with shrimp! It was mushy and not very appetizing! The brussel sprouts were good! The added a 20% tip for 2 people, but the menu says for 4 or more people. I have been there several times for high tea, maybe I should stick with that!
