   I had reserved a table for 6 - we were told it was for 5 and no room in the dining room. They moved us to the corner in the bar area. 3 out of 5 meals had to be returned for further ‘nuking’ our server mentioned. But when returned the meat still wasn’t cooked and the bread was burned. We left food on all three plates. The truffle fries tasted like they had been cooked in bad oil. Overall bad food and slow service. They took off one meal but for the price we each paid - it wasn’t enough. Sadly, we will move our holiday luncheon next year.

   As always the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible when celebrating. From the host stand employees to the water service and wait staff we were well taken care of on a very busy night. Dan is always amazing and the service is impeccable. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the bone-in filet and the mushrooms. For dessert the coconut cream pie is beyond yummy! Thank you, everyone at Capital Grill, Ed had another amazing night.

   I usually choose to not review a restaurant if I had a bad experience but I felt I this time I needed to. This is my favorite restaurant in this area. My husband and I eat here ever time we are in town. I have never had a less than excellent experience at Capital Grill until last night. I am attributing it to large holiday parties. Our reservation for standard seating wasn’t honored. After waiting about 20 minutes my husband and I sat outside in the midst of 3 large holiday parties. The only saving grace was our server Joy was very good. We do plan to come back but not until after the holidays.

    Disaster lunch. We ordered a $1k gift card upon arrival in order to take Advantage of the promotion. We told The waiter exactly what we were planning to do. When we were ready for closing out our check we were presented with 2 $1kplus bills. One that was the original request and the second one that included an additional $1k plus the price of our lunch. I ordered the salmon medium rare and it was overcooked so I sent it back for proper preparation. It came after my husband had eaten his meal. The replacement came without the side dishes. On the original order I asked that it be served without the couscous that came with. It was served with the couscous which had to to be scraped off of the overcooked salmon The replacement salmon was cooked perfectly but did not include the asparagus and tomato. Not a pleasant experience and especially for someone who had just purchased a $1k gift card upon. Management was less than helpful.
