Gather at the Blue Pig Tavern, our distinctive restaurant tucked in the corner of Congress Hall. Known for hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner favorites, its name derives from a gambling parlor sited in Congress Hall in the mid-1800s. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May. Today, we offer timeless classics and new seasonal delights with ingredients that are always farm-fresh.

Mixed review -service and food great. However restaurant was crowded and they crammed our group of 6 adults into a booth. Restaurant was very hot inside and they had a fire going although outside temps were mild. Being that crowded into a table made the heat situation even worse. Hostess that seated us completely ignored us when we twice questioned the fact that we were being crammed into this booth. Our waiter was great though and we all enjoyed our food despite our discomfort

We were greeted immediately and our beverage order was taken. Our breakfast order followed and was cooked as requested. Atmosphere was relaxing and the seating comfortable. We will certainly return in the future.

We stayed at Congress Hall for the weekend and made reservations for brunch at 1245. Despite both the website and the menu saying breakfast items were served until 300pm, our waiter said they were not available, only "lunch items". The veggie omelette was available and it was bland. We had to ask for the potatoes it came with as they were forgotten. As I ate I saw other servers bring out breakfast items to other patrons. I have eaten at the Blue Pig before and it was just okay, but this visit ensured I will not be back for breakfast or brunch. Not when there is an Uncle Bill's Pancake House with better food and service within a short walking distance to Congress Hall.

On a extremely busy saturday night. we were seated on time, great table, great service and food. really amazing how busy Congress Hall was in the middle of the Holiday seasons. Hats off to the management and staff on executing so well in the middle of a huge crowd of guests!!! a great evening!

Very disappointing… table was loud , And very cold . Made reservation far in advance and seated in a terrible location near an open door on a cold winter day . Asked for a different table and was rudely told nothing else was available. I know it was Christmas time but will not return. The food was good and the waiter tried his best . Tea was delivered without spoons ..
