Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint is the continuation of a deep history of music, food, drink and socializing in the South. Located in the former Macy’s building in the heart of downtown Atlanta at the iconic 200 Peachtree St. address, Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint brings to the city a place to relax while enjoying live entertainment and exceptional cuisine. A per person entertainment fee will be applied to your bill, this does not apply on Sunday's. Historically, juke joints originated in the rural outskirts of many southern towns to give African American communities a place to kick back and unwind after a long week of work. Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint represents diverse culture, featuring music across all genres and popular hits throughout American history. An imaginative menu makes Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint a staple in Atlanta’s downtown restaurant scene and the allure of traditional juke joints is showcased in the restaurant’s design.

The food was delicious. I had the fried chicken and my husband had the salmon. We enjoyed both. The we also enjoyed the live band. The service was impeccable.

We were very disappointed in our dining experience and do not plan to go back. We had reservations for 6:00 and upon arrival we were told there would be a band that started at 7:00 and there would be a $10 pp charge if we dined at that time. We were excited that there would be entertainment and agreed to pay the charge. Our server could not be in more of a hurry to rush us. He was attentive when we sat down and immediately took our drink order. He then hovered over us to order. We agreed to order an appetizer but then we were told the bacon wrapped shrimp were unavailable for the evening. So we put in another order for fried green tomatoes. We asked for the side but were served the southern sampler platter (we did not like anything else on the plate). We were rushed to put in our dinner order- even though we did not even have our cocktails yet. We ordered the fried chicken - both of our sides were cold and the collard greens were all stems. We took two bites and asked for the check. Very disappointed.

Turned up for reservation, advised about 2 hour table limit that started on sitting down and then told about the additional $10 per person charge for the in house band. Taken to table and then completely ignored for the next 15 minutes of our 2hr limit, no water, no drinks no nothing so we got up and walked out

We had an okay time at Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint. The food was good but the drinks could have been better as far as flavor. This was our first time at the restaurant after receiving a recommendation and I didn't like that all of the information about the entertainment fee of $10pp and 2 hour time limit was not made available prior to booking the reservation. The 2 hour limit starts at the time you sit down versus your reservation which for us was earlier since we arrived early. Then when I asked about staying longer by paying an additional $10, we were told that we would have to order alcoholic beverages for each person every 30 minutes. That's extreme especially since it was not crowded AT ALL! There were plenty of empty tables on a Friday night and not many people waiting at the front. We may return when visiting again but I'm not sure.

Vibe and food was great. Staff were friendly and attentive. The live music was a bonus with the band being interactive. I recommend this place and would return if visiting ATL in the future. Also thanks for our anniversary song request!

Great ambiance and music! There was no live entertainment on the evening we went. We sat right away upon arrival with reservations! Server was amazing! There were very few people in the restaurant and not crowded at all. Unfortunately, we waited 50 minutes after ordering to receive our meals and the meals arrived cold. Each person either had a cold entree and/or cold sides. The portion of grits was very minimal (maybe 1/2 cup at the most) and the macaroni and cheese lacked flavor. The fried chicken was fried in old oil and it was apparent in both appearance and taste. The manager did not appear to be concerned about the fact that meals are arriving almost an hour later after ordering, and cold as well. The salmon was slightly uncooked in the middle. After letting our server aware of the situation, we waited quite a while for the manager and even then, we still waited another 30 minutes on the check. Manager did not offer remakes or anything of the sort for the cold meals. Definitely not somewhere I would go back to nor would I recommend for eating!

So much fun! Can't wait to go back! Food was good, not great, but that's not why we were there. Music and dancing! Fabulous time.
