   Ed our server was fantastic! He was very accommodating!  It was a wonderful Valentines dinner- the lobster gnocchi was excellent!

   Food was great. Especially lamb lollipops and the redfish. Only complaint was being charged 1.50$ for a whiskey-neat, it’s literally just pouring a little bit in the glass. Service, food, and environment were great.

   Ok so let's start with parking there is no Valet and zero parking at the restaurant. Next this place has no door man and if I were eating at a fast food restaurant I would expect to not be greeted at the door but not at a place that is supposed to be upscale. We were seated in a decent time and the hostess was friendly. Took our server about 10 minutes to introduce him self and another 5 minutes to take our drink order. His performance afterwards was adequate. He did however give us bad advice on the side dishes size they are large enough for 4 people. Food I had the Wagyu steak and as a person who eats this cut of meat everytime I can I am skeptical if this actually was Wagyu. My wife had the filet and daughter had the stuffed lobster. The entrees were good, all steaks cooked as ordered and the stuffed lobster was enjoyed by my daughter. Side dishes were cold and not good at all. We had the Calamari as a starter and it was delicious. Price was what I expected at a upscale restaurant about $100 per person but the service and food quality was definitely lacking.

   Stroubes is a very good choice if you are in Downtown Baton Rouge looking for a place to eat. The menu covers pork - steak - seafood. The bar drinks are good and within the normal for pricing. There is not a lot of “fluff” to the menu which makes ordering easy. Good date night kind of place.

   Restaurant has classy, quiet atmosphere - exactly what you would expect. Service personnel were wonderful - attentive and personable. Bartenders were great - very engaging. Food was excellent. Absolutely no complaints. Kitchen was extremely slow. Our appetizers took 20 minutes to prepare. Our waitress apologized and said that she let them know that she was not happy. She also said that she was glad that she ordered our entrees at the same time. However, it took another 20 minutes to receive our entrees, so it was over 40 minutes from the time we ordered until our meals were delivered to our table. Prices are high. I expected to pay more for an upscale restaurant, but there are comparable restaurants (Fleming's for example) that have the same great food, excellent service and upscale atmosphere for a lower price point. We visited to try something new, but I don't think we will return.

   Went for restaurant week. Prefix menu, apps were really good. Main courses felt like they had been pre-plated and sitting under warmer. With drinks and the gratuity the meal cost much more than what I feel it was worth. With so many options for steakhouses I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon.

   Even though we reserved a table and stated we were celebrating a birthday, no one mentioned the occasion. The Redfish was so overly spiced, neither my husband nor I could hardly eat it. The Crawfish Mac and Cheese side dish was very good. Our server was not interested in us at all. He came to our table three times. Once to greet us, once about twelve minutes later to take our order, and once with our food. He didn't even bring the check. We waited and then got up and went to the hostess station for the check.

    We arrived to be told their heat was out. The restaurant was freezing and they had two space heaters but they were being used by other tables. We arrived on time and yet it took an extremely long time to get our food and our order was not totally correct. We would have canceled if we had known we would be uncomfortable and have to eat with our coats on
