   The service was excellent, I wish I could remember her server's name but she had classes and she was very attentive to my father-in-law who was a world war two veteran. Even offered him a complimentary class of wine. We had an excellent evening

   My wife and I have celebrated many events at the Stockpot and returned frequently due to high quality food, consistency and a fine chef On January 10, 2025 we celebrated our anniversary and were very disappointed. We found the Filet Minion was not a center cut, not tender and several chewy bites. We had a Lobster Tail with the steak. The lobster tail arrived room temperature warm, as was the butter. The lobster meat had no texture, was mushy and fell apart like overcooked fish. I called the server back to our table and she placed an order for a replacement lobster tail. The second tail arrived considerably later after our meal was completed. This tail was hot as was the butter. I have previously enjoyed the Bouillabaisse, telling the server when I ordered it that it was the best Bouillabaisse in Portland. My first spoonful was very salty which was never a problem with previous orders. The seafood was limited to 2 small clams, 2 shrimp and fish that was overcooked. I was happy to see Dungeness crab (instead of King Crab), however there were 4 small legs (barely legal size) of which only the upper part of the leg had any meat to eat. Normally I would spoon every last drop of the soup broth, but I left behind well over a quarter of a cup. Not only because was it salty but all the herbs and spices filled the bottom of the bowl like it was the last serving from a pot that had been sitting all day. Our server was always on the run and never stayed long enough to hear our concerns. I do not enjoy writing negative reviews. Our food quality, preparation and service did not reflect the expectations we have previously enjoyed at the Stockpot Broiler. I hope this was a problem of one bad night and does not reflect a change in the way they have chosen to economize.

   Sadly, the stockpot has jumped the shark. It can now only be described as mediocre at best. The service was great, everything else was meh. We went a few times more than we should have just to make sure this was the new normal which we can confirm it is. They make a big deal out of lauding their executive chef but the praise never makes it to the plate. Steaks were meh, sides meh, nothing stood out other than a pretty good old fashioned.

   The Stockpot offers high quality cuisine at prices much more affordable than the Ringside. The wait staff were very pleasant, efficient and accommodating. I recommend The Stockpot for first dates and other special occasions.

   A very nice experience with great food and service. Our friends commented that we always have good service and delicious food at The Stockpot. Another enjoyable evening for us!

   We came to the Stockpot on the afternoon of Christmas Eve. We hadn’t been to the restaurant for quite some time, and we were so pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was fantastic, and our waitress Ms B Lee was amazing. We started with the crab stuffed mushrooms and Seafood Cocktail and then had the Chicken Cordon Bleu and the Plank Salmon. Everything was so good! And our waitress, she was so great. Her timing was fabulous and she was so friendly. She really made our evening!
