Stable Café is open daily from 11AM to 2PM for guests of Biltmore Estate.

Satisfy your appetite for house-smoked meats, Carolina barbeque, grilled burgers, and other southern favorites in a historic setting that was once the estate's horse stable.

Biltmore tickets or an annual pass are required to visit all restaurants on the estate. For seasonal evening events, dinner reservations for all the guests in the party must have an evening-specific ticket or be an estate lodging guest. Dinner menu is a three-course, prefix menu.

The convenient location next to Biltmore House, friendly hospitality, and delectable food make the Stable Café a popular stop after visits to the house and gardens. The ambiance of the historic surroundings in the renovated stable complex is unmatched.

    Today is a quiet, chilly Tuesday in early March. It was like having the house, and restaurant, to ourselves. It was wonderful. Service was warm and friendly, as always. Never had a bad experience at the Stable Cafe, even when it’s super busy.

    The food was great as well as the service. We loved eating in the horse stalls it was a unique environment.

    Both of us ordered the Stable Burger. One was burned to a tough consistency and one charred, both grilled far too much. Cole slaw and mashed potatoes were very good. Coffee was excellent, as was the Biltmore Pinot Grigio. Dessert (cream cheese/apple crisp tart) should have been warmed slightly-it was very cold. Service was very good, showing a pleasant demeanor, with attentiveness and responding well to our requests.

    The Stable Cafe is not as good as it used to be. The buns that were used for the barbecue and hamburger were cold. The burger was cooked to the point of being almost crispy. The tomato bisque was very spicy. In general it was not as good as it used to be.
