ST. JOHN Bread & Wine reflects the rhythms of its locale whilst observing the same respect for seasonal, indigenous ingredients and "the whole beast" as the bigger sister restaurant. Currently opening for dinner, Tuesday to Saturday, this branch very much beats its own drum with a menu structured towards a slightly less formal manner of dining, with guests actively encouraged to share dishes as they're ready from the kitchen.

As well as selling goods to take home from our bakery, wines by the bottle or the case can be bought from our lists to take home with some delivery available.

Bread & Wine has been voted Best British Restaurant by the Evening Standard and named as best value restaurant by The Observer Food Monthly.

The desserts in particular (apple pie and twice baked chocolate cake) were delicious! As I'm vegetarian I ordered the two veggie plates but my partner was left waiting for his main. I think the team thought we were sharing my plates - we weren't this was my main, we had said this when ordering. Regardless, we had a nice evening, good wine and food.

Our son wanted to eat here for his 21st. Smashed our expectations. We will remember this for a long time to come. Thank you.

I was shocked to note the decline in the quality of both cooking and service yesterday at St John Bread and Wine. For that price tag, you expect better cooking, and a decent service. Both have become mediocre. The waiting staff was moody (whoever is managing this place is doing something wrong), and they were not clearing plates so that the tiny tables would get completely full of empty plates and you couldn't navigate your diner. The food was in much smaller quantity than it used to be and fell flat. The bill felt like a rip off. I have been going to St John's restaurants for almost two decades. The generosity and deliciousness of the cooking and the lovely, informal but attentive service made it one of my London favourites. This is no more.
