My husband’s steak was excellent - well seasoned, perfectly cooked and the best he’s had in Indy. I don’t eat red meat and therefore ordered the chicken, which was extremely disappointing. I had requested the green beans with my chicken and not only did they not serve them, but they added mashed potatoes instead which I did not want and weren’t listed as something coming with that entree. For a $200 meal (one drink each, one salad, two entrees and no dessert), I expect much, much better. Also, it was our 23rd wedding anniversary and most restaurants will acknowledge such with a small dessert but they didn’t do anything. Just disappointing.

Quite an experience of flavors. The shrimp cocktail deserves its reputation. Lobster bisque followed by a dry aged ribeye and potatoes romanoff. Blueberry bread pudding for dessert. Staff was attentive and courteous as one would expect. Worth every penny.

I’ve visited St. Elmo’s a couple of times in the past and had great experiences, so I had high expectations going into this visit. Unfortunately, this time didn’t live up to the previous ones. When we arrived, the first two tables they offered were next to large, noisy parties, which made for a less-than-ideal dining experience. Finally, we were seated at a quieter spot, and our waiter was friendly, but the service was slow. It took quite a while for both our food and drinks to arrive. The signature shrimp cocktail was solid, but unfortunately, the rest of the meal was underwhelming. We shared a filet, which was overcooked and lacked flavor. The potato was dry—likely baked earlier and left in a warming drawer for too long. The creamed spinach was lukewarm and not very flavorful, and the mushrooms were similarly only warm, but tasted ok. Overall, this visit was disappointing compared to the excellent experiences I’ve had in the past. I’m hoping this was just an off night, but it’s hard not to feel let down after looking forward to the meal.

A great experience. 16 oz dry aged ribeye was great to share, spinach salad was excellent and brussel sprouts were excellent. Our server Sydney was the best. There when we needed her, but gave us plenty of space to not feel overwhelmed by interruptions.
