Sistina restaurant, one of the most highly rated Italian restaurants in New York City, has been impressing its sophisticated clientele for over 40 years. Host/owner/chef Giuseppe Bruno, the Zagat Survey's "Host of the Year", is responsible for every aspect of his restaurant, from greeting his devoted patrons, to preparing special meals and dishes upon request.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you wish to cancel your reservation please let us know a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Failure to notify the restaurant will result in a $50 cancelation fee per person in the group.

Our meals in the past have always been worth the visit. However, this time, we were over-promised and unfulfilled by both the starter and the main meal. The beets and burrata were unremarkable this time; but worse, was the promise of white truffle over pasta. The truffle itself delivered a terrific aroma while in the jar when presented by the waiter, but the pasta was unsalted, the cream sauce unflavored, and the dish was too dry to be savored. And all of that came with a price well over $100 per pasta. I think it’s time they stop with the 5 minute recital of multiple specials and focus on what they can do well. This was disappointing.

It's a gorgeous restaurant—it's a jewelry box. The service was excellent, but the food wasn't terrific. I had the artichoke salad for an appetizer and the veal for my entree, and both were mediocre. We will likely return as we love the restaurant. Perhaps we just didn't order right.
