Cheddar soup did not disappoint! Interesting and tasty take on a Cesar salad that I would recommend. Restaurant is beautiful, timing of food was perfect. A very well run, friendly restaurant.

What a great place to stop at after walking @ VINS to see the Forest of Lights in Quechee. Despite having 1915 reservations and arriving early, the staff readily seated us @ window side seat with views of the falls underneath. An old time favorite Cheddar soup warmed us up. I had another favorite of Horseradish Crusted cod with Crispy leeks. Great presentation. Waitress readily exchanged a green vegetable for me off the menu. Husband was brave and sampled the swordfish with creamed lentils. Finished up our meal with apple cake/coffee.

This place was once my number 1 choice in fine dining in the area and is approx. an hour from my home. The food, service and atmosphere and very good and always have been. So why the low rating? I'm fairly well off and told I'm somewhat difficult to buy gifts for, and friends and family have been buying gift certificates to SP for many years, and for many years I've enjoyed their gift certificates UNTIL RECENTLY. A niece bought a $200 GC for me for my birthday and when presented, it was rejected as being only for goods in their overpriced glassware store. That wasn't the intent of the giver and what does a 73 year old man need expensive glassware for? This policy has meant that I've severely cut my visits to SP and have a $220 Glass Christmas tree to remind me of how much I dislike this company's policy. I am not about to tell my circle of friends what to buy or train them to avoid the trap set for them by this policy.

Always wonderful to dine at Simon Pearce. The ambiance is the real draw, sitting overlooking the water fall and being surrounded by all of the beautiful glassware. Dinner was great, Horseradish Crusted Cod is my favorite, we also enjoyed Short Ribs of Beef and Seafood Chowder. It was a quiet not very busy, and we relaxed and sipped wine, enjoyed Burrata and Potato Leek Soup. If you can get a reservation, grab it and sit back while the staff take care of you and deliver a delicious dinner.
