About the restaurant

Kai Mayfair’s cuisine has its foundation in Nanyang Chinese cooking, the region located within the South Seas of China. It takes a ‘Liberated’ approach to Chinese cooking, respectful of the flavours from its Chinese heritage but not bound by it, offering a menu primarily of specialities unique to Kai. Desserts also feature as a key part of its meal experience utilising ingredients synonymous with the Nanyang region like pandan and durian. Kai has held it’s Michelin Star since 2009.

At tea time (from 2:30pm to 4:30pm), Kai also serves its Chinese Whispers Afternoon tea which is available from our Chinese Whispers Afternoon tea opentable page.

I had a great time at 6 Hamilton Place last weekend. The vibe is super cosy, with a nice mix of modern and classic decor. The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch - friendly without being overbearing. The whole experience felt relaxed yet special. Overall, it’s definitely a place I’d return to.

Chef Owner, Tong Chee Hwee, former Group Executive Head Chef of Hakkasan, has returned to launch Gouqi, an Award-Winning, Fine Dining Chinese restaurant located at 25-34 Cockspur Street, St James's opposite the Canadian Embassy, Trafalgar Square.

The restaurant name derives from the goji berry, a symbol of health and vitality that inspires the ethos of the restaurant. Using premium produce sourced from around the globe, the menu offers an abundance of flavours, techniques, and ingredients. The Berri Bar offers Asian inspired cocktails and an eclectic wine list.

Gouqi seats 100 guests, including 2 private interconnecting dining rooms; Crimson & Ruby, which seat 10 and 12, or combine to accommodate up to 22 guests.

Traditional Chinese restaurant situated in Knightsbridge popular with locals as well as business types and the shopped out from Harrods. The decor is all oriental splendour and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. What's cooking? Traditional Chinese fare. Fantastic food, we had a mixture of Sushi and Dim Sum on this occasion. with particular standouts being the Char Sui pork and the Otoro sashimi. Lovely ambience and enjoyed the Chinese New Year dancers along with fun chance to try on the beautifully crafted headress's! Looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu and sake selection.

Yauatcha City opened in May 2015 in Broadgate Circle, just outside Liverpool Street Station. This is Yauatcha’s second UK location following the success of its award winning restaurant in Soho.

Yauatcha City is an all-day dim sum teahouse, where friends and family gather to catch up over a wide selection of dim sum, wok dishes, tea and cocktails.
