In fact, Macellaio means "butcher" and we like to call our steakhouses the butchery with tables. Intimate dinning experience with only room for 10 covers. Food and service was good Only minor thing is the toilets is not in the restaurant, instead you are given a key fob and asked to go outside and down the side walkway …..clean and tidy toilet but absolutely freezing as no heater in it But as I say that’s only a minor issue, I’m there for the food and drink which was excellent

Took my son for lunch as he’d eaten there before. The food and ambience was authentic and catered well for my gluten allergy. The tastiest spaghetti vongole that I’ve had in a very long time. Thank you- I shall return!

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the truffle pasta and cocktails were nice. We ordered the prawn linguine but it was too spicy and we couldn’t eat it. It would be better to advice that this plate is spicy when it is being ordered as it wasn’t indicated in the menu. We also mentioned that to the waiter and they didn’t change the plate or even do a gesture even if the dish couldn’t be eaten.

This Kensington local favourite attracts fans from all over the capital who devoutly wish they had a Cibo - there's only one - in their street. The decor is cosy Mediterranean with truly unique artwork on the walls, with smaller rooms providing a sense of intimacy. The staff have that inimitable Italian welcome and capacity for fine service without a lot of fuss. Fish is a speciality of the house, so try pasta filled with crab in a special sauce to start, or the octopus, green bean and potato salad. Then go for the spaghetti with lobster in its own sauce, although the calves liver is delicious, too. Coffee with petits fours are on the don't miss list, too. Servings are huge and the pace is leisurely.
