The decor of the restaurant was so very unique and beautiful that it made our expectations even higher than they were! And the restaurant definitely delivered! Unique Yucatán influences were there and we took advantage of that! Nektar is a winner all around!

Our server, Christina, was outstanding. The arugula salad and grouper special were both fantastic. Prices are high, but consistent with high-end restaurants in the USA. Wine prices were higher than expected, and made it difficult to find a reasonable bottle, especially given that this is an Italian restaurant.....would have liked to see wider variety of some affordable Italian red options. But food & service are phenomenal.

Inspiration for Primo comes from the love for food, ancient spirits, local crafts and rustic cooking. Trying to recreate in a small outdoor space under a beautiful tree, the essence from original Playa del Carmen and bring an authentic Mexican food where everything is cooked with wood fire, underground oven, comales and grill, as has been done traditionally in most Mexican small towns for centuries. Primo means cousin in spanish, as a common slogan in Mexico we say Primo to refer to really close friends, the ones that may be closer than family. Our intention with this name is that guests feel the confort of gathering in a place that will taste and feel like home as we do. We have developed the interior design with locally made tzalam wood furniture, bejuco lamps and a chukum finish for the walls. We pride ourselves of using local and sustainable suppliers for most of our ingredients.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had and the cocktails were sooo amazing too, it felt like i was drinking something from a professional mixologist. Recommend the octopus, the bone marrow and the lechon

We had a wonderful dinner at Piaggia. It is a small-medium sized open air restaurant. The music is the perfect level, service was great, and all of the food was delicious. We hope to go back.

The menu features items from many different Latin American countries and we went with a group of 6 so we could share plates and try a lot of different things. The food was delicious, the service was attentive and fun, and the decor of the restaurant is stunning. Highly recommend for a special occasion dinner. Our tab for the 6 of us was $1000 including tip.
