The Hanse Stube team provides excellent service and pampers its guests; head waiter Franz-Georg van Hall personally carves at the guests’ table and sommelier Robert Demers finds a wine to pair with any style of food. The interior of the Hanse Stube is characterized by timeless elegance with cozy sofa corners, filigree wooden chairs and various contemporary and historical paintings on the wood-paneled walls. The two side rooms, "Mirror Salon" and "Fish Salon", can be booked exclusively for small banquets.

There was no one at the host stand to greet and seat me for almost 20 minutes. Had to go to the bar and ask the bartender to get someone. After that initial issue, the food and service were lovely

Dabei haben alle Gerichte die gleiche Größe und es wird keinen Hauptgang im dimensionierten Sinne geben. Die besten Grundprodukte stehen dabei im Vordergrund. Wir freuen uns darauf, Ihnen den Tisch mit kleinen leckeren Sachen voll zu machen. The overall experience at the restaurant was pleasant. The service was good, but there’s room to improve. The food was well-prepared and delicious. However, the wine selection was quite limited. One issue that stood out was being charged separately for desserts, despite them being a part of the course meals I ordered. That wasn’t very nice, and it left a bit of a sour note on an otherwise good experience. Hopefully, it’s something that can be improved for future guests.

Service was incredible, but they are quite aggressive about the water consumption, coming by every 5-10 minutes to refill your glasses, and frankly at 8,00€ a bottle, you would expect more from the water. Every dish was very interesting and made for a good experience, however the main course from the Omakase did not really work for me, in terms of the flavor combination, but that just personal taste. The state of the restaurant itself was quiet and chic, but there were quite noticeably cobwebs in some of the corners, and eye level… All in all I would recommend!

The meal and overall experience was fantastic. Flavors were uniquely curated and matched together with amazing balance. The Catfish and Eel pairing was a delightful creamy smokiness with the feel of an elevated fish chowder. The Venison was fantastic. Cooked perfectly and paired with a tart cranberry sauce. This is a restaurant where you as a guest can choose either a 3 course or even 5 course menu or you can select by yourself between meat, fish or vegetarian food. For me as a vegetarian it's often a problem to find a perfect meal because even a soup has fish in it. But I am expecting that it changes from time to time. Enjoy that place and the available food like I did it this time.

We spent NYE here and it was outstanding. The staff could not have been kinder or more welcoming. The food was excellent (and generous portion sizes). Would highly recommend for any occasion.

Fantastic food and service on our final night in Köln. The burgers, cannelloni and chicken supreme were all delicious. Only one of our party managed a dessert who said it’s the best apple crumble he has tasted. The bar staff Alejandro, Özay and Gregorio were very attentive providing fabulous service.
