Hackney's is a classic American restaurant that serves authentic American food like burgers and fries, and has been a popular spot in Chicago since the Prohibition Era. Of all the amazing dishes here, one of the most popular is the Hackney Burger. This is a half-pound grilled burger served on two slices of rye bread, and is one of the reasons Hackney's has become so famous. Another delicious dish that stands out from the crowd includes Hackney's Original French Fried Onions. The french fried onions have placed in the top three onions rings in the country consistently, despite not even being rings! Enjoyed a delicious salad and a glass of wine on the patio at Timothy O’Toole’s on Sunday December 29th. The service was great, the heaters were on and it was quiet. The perfect setting for catching up with a good friend.

This is our favorite spot for a number of reasons. Namely the staff and the service. Sure the food is great. Cocktails are wonderful. But the staff in the star of the show. Always welcoming. Always courteous. They really are what makes the experience at Mickey Finns great each and every time. In my humble opinion no other bar/restaurant in Libertyville hold a candle to Mickey Finns in this regard. Thank you. Appreciate you. See you around the way soon.
