Located just a few minutes from downtown in architecturally rich Monte Vista neighborhood, La Fonda on Main is the oldest Mexican food restaurant in San Antonio. La Fonda serves both the best of Tex-Mex cuisine as well as authentic dishes of interior Mexico in a fun and casual setting with beautiful patio dining. We're open 7 days a week offering our full menu as well as family meals and catering options on curbside. Happy Hour is Monday-Thursday from 3pm-6pm. We offer a full bar with a wide variety of liquor, beer and wine. Saturday's and Sunday's we serve brunch from 10:00am-3:00pm. Our fabulous margaritas are made with hand-squeezed limes and your choice of a large selection of tequilas and mezcals. Our famous patio is heated from the ground up for chilly nights under the stars and lights in the trees.

Had a 8pm reservation for my birthday. They got us in 30 min past and gave our table to someone that came after us. Was pretty upset about it but they found us different seating in the greenhouse which was very nice. The manager came to apologize with champagne and two appetizers on the house. Our waitress Michelle was awesome and the food was amazing. Ordered a piece of cheesecake (which was also comped) and Michelle placed a candle in for my bday celebration. Total experience was one of my favorites. Started off not so great but they really went above and beyond to make up for it. Definitely a favorite now

Amazing place, wonderful service, excellent food, have tried many menu items over the years and the margaritas never disappoint! My mom insists on a low sugar more mint mojito, her favorite! The outdoor patio is beautiful even when cold outside. You will not regret coming here!!!!

This restaurant is a gem. Delicious, healthy food and drinks. We had the chef’s tasting menu and were blown away by the food quality and taste. Don’t think twice. Just go! We will definitely be back.

Mikayla, our server was amazing, funny and engaging. My first time having a burger here. The Ultimate was NOT a disappointment! I will be back and already know which entree I want to try next....the blackened chicken Alfredo! I almost asked my neighbor for a taste. Lol! Bobby G & The Drive (band) was great! Energetic and nostalgic Rock! And the view of Fiesta Texas fireworks was an unexpected bonus! Loved it!!!
