That dream came true in 2019 when Top Burmese opened as a virtual takeout only restaurant from a commissary kitchen in NW Portland. Due to its authenticity, made to order, home-style cooking, and Burmese hospitality, Top Burmese traditional and modern Burmese dishes became so popular effectively evangelizing the masses to become Burmese Food fans. Theres’s a surprising depth of Burmese food in NYC. After having it in abundance in San Francisco I was pleasantly surprised to find a high quality Burmese restaurant in a Portland suburb on a random trip so I booked a team dinner here. The food was better the second time and I plan on coming back any time I’m in the area.

Yalla has wonderful food and drinks - such great flavors. We love the minor to the menu items that appear each time we visit. Service and environment are lovely and arm feeling. Be aware the noise level in the main dining area with music and when full of diners can make it tough for folks with slight hearing loss.

Inventive, seasonal food in a thoughtfully designed space. My husband and I really enjoyed our meal and our wines. The carrots and celery root scallops were the highlights! This is definitely the kind of restaurant you want to visit every season to see what new delights they've dreamed up. Highly recommend!

This place has always been a favorite, but last night’s dinner was extra perfect. We came in as a group of 9 to share an intimate wedding dinner and the restaurant went out of their way to make everything perfect for us. The area we were seated in was adorable and very quiet - even when the restaurant was packed we felt like the only ones there. Excellent food, delicious drinks, great service. Can’t recommend IST enough for a celebration!

We really enjoyed the happy hour tacos and chicken! We especially loved the cauliflower and beet tacos. The house red wine was lovely and the service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back!
