North Carolina chef and restaurateur, Jim Noble founded Rooster’s: A Noble Grille with the intention of being relevant without being trendy and to impress without being pretentious. That commitment has carried us through two decades and continues to lead us on today.

Knowing that simple food is harder to execute given there is nowhere to hide the flaws, we go to great lengths to source quality ingredients from local farmers and purveyors. We then take all the time necessary to develop their flavors —using both European and modern techniques—always working from scratch.

Our menu features tried and true staples like our spit-roasted chicken cooked over open fire as well as progressive daily specials and elevated Small Plates featuring Executive Chef Brad Pennell. From the drinks to dessert, this was a fabulous experience. We had the salmon and pork chop with the brownie pie. Our server was amazing and each staff member greeted us. 10/10 experience.

We had a great dinner here. Our entrees were outstanding - 2 different beef dishes and a salmon. Wine list was comprehensive with a range of choices to suit budgets and tastes. Very good cocktails at the bar while we waited for our seats. Only 2 complaints: charcuterie board cheese was ice cold and not soft, and server was polite but not particularly attentive.

600 degrees is truly superb! We started with a cocktail. Absolutely delicious! Then, we had the pork belly burnt ends with lexington style BBQ sauce for an appetizer. For our entrees, we had the NC smoked trout, scallops with brussel sprouts, and pork schnitzel. All were paired well with a glass of Reisling from the Mosel region in Germany. To finish it off, we shared a banana pudding, which tasted like Bannas Foster to me. From the moment we stepped to the moment we left, it was such a great experience! We can't wait to go back!

We were visiting Winston Salem and checked out Sage and Salt Bistro after reading reviews on Open Table. Our dinners were delicious (particularly the tuna tower, salmon and the lamb). We loved the quiet small aspect of the restaurant and will definitely come back when we are in town again. The Uber driver did have trouble finding the front of the restaurant (it is little confusing) and also there seem to be two different Sage and Salt restaurants - one is more of a large bar with food and music and the other located next door is the small restaurant.
