Permanently moored on the River Thames alongside Victoria Embankment, just opposite the London Eye, the R.S.Hispaniola is a beautiful restaurant and bar. All day dining offers high-quality food in a relaxed, gastronomic haven, while you enjoy the fabulous views by day and night. In addition to our exciting a-la-carte menu, we are also pleased to our All Day Menu which offers quick, light meals for those pressed for time. We have also created menus for pre-theatre diners and a set menu for lunch offering seasonal options. The restaurant also boasts the finest wine cellar anywhere on the river and the adjacent bar provides delightfully elegant surroundings in which to enjoy a cocktail or aperitif before your meal - and, perhaps, another afterwards.

The food is nothing to brag about. It is ok. Most of the diners must have booked on the set menu with bottomless prosecco especially three women who were definitely drunk. They were f..ing this and that which you dont really want to hear if you are trying to have a nice dinner. Perhaps there should be a time limit or limit to a bottle per person which should be more than enough. We are not used to it

Booked this restaurant for a celebratory family lunch following our son's graduation ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall. Arrived to find it virtually empty and a group of kitchen staff having a meeting at a neighbouring table. They were discussing food hygiene etc. The waitress only informed us of substantial changes to the menu after we had been sitting in the restaurant for half an hour, even though the changes meant none of our party could have our first choice meal and had to scrabble around to find suitable alternatives. The food we ordered was generally good, apart from the fish dish which was presented in a pool of oil. It was a disappointing experience overall because of the lack of atmosphere (we were the only paying diners throughout our time there), poor service from the waiting staff, and very limited menu. Although I informed the staff that we had booked for a special occasion, our experience was very ordinary indeed.

It is a real treat to dine on a comfortable boat on the River with some of the best views in London and endless interest. Changing evening skies and flotillas of boats, not "Waterloo Sunset", but close - just one bridge west (Hungerford), gorgeous! We enjoyed the welcome and the service - given the best riverside table. We had the three courses with free flowing prosecco deal which is the restaurant's mainstay. We had a few upgrades, extras and lots of glasses of wine - good value! The maitre d' explained that the restaurant had recently rejoined Open Table after some years with another booking company - hence the lack of reviews which I am happy to rectify.

Dined with my husband last weekend for the first time. The restaurant was busy but the staff was very attentive and recommended us some signature dishes from the new menu. We had the foie gras and the cured salmon with cream cheese and caviar, followed by Lobster Thermidor and a fillet steak. The food was superb and served on time. Everyone was kind and friendly. We finished the night with an Irish coffee on the deck to enjoy the magnificent view. Can't wait to go back!!

Love this restaurant, especially during Summer!! Excellent views sitting on the sun deck with the wonderful views of both sides of the Thames around you. Food is good and service is not too bad. Would recommend it.

Food very good but service hopeless. We were shown our table, went outside for a drink and when we returned the table had changed. Some of the places lacked cutlery, glasses etc.. During the meal they brought the wrong wine, and got 2 x main courses (so some of us had finished our mains before the correct ones arrived) and 1 x dessert totally wrong. No sincerity of apology or offer of 'compensation' - a pity as the food was good.

This is the second time we have dined at R.S. Hispaniola. We went with a group of friends and the service we received was very good. Everyone had a good time. What I would say is we were seated on the lower deck. This worked for us because it meant we were able to talk to each other and listen to the live music. But if you want something more lively then you would probably prefer to sit upstairs.

Booked for a late lunch so the retaurant was not busy at 2pm on a Wed afternoon. Although I asked for a window seat when I booked, this seemed to be have been forgotten so had to ask to sit at a vacant window table. For the most part there was just one waiter which seemed not enough for the number of tables occupied. Although we were not in a rush, we did have to wait a long time to be attended to at each course and we had to call for attention a couple of times. However, we went for the special menu of three courses for £28 ahead, plus wine. The food we ordered was well presented, cooked to prefectionn and totally enjoyable. A comfortable ambience; we were content and would go again.
