Goodman Canary Wharf
Price: Very Expensive•Steakhouse•4.9(1,092)Goodman specialises in steak. Our chefs source the best beef from both sides of the Atlantic – from premium USDA corn-fed herds to grass-fed Scottish beef, grain-fed Irish Angus and rare breed Belted Galloway from the Lake District in England – to present a unique combination of a traditional British chophouse and classic New York grill. All of our meat is dry aged and cut on-site – which can be seen in our glass-walled dry-ageing room. Couple that with one of London’s largest collections of American red wine, fine single malt whiskeys and a couple of great traditional English beers on tap and you have a match made in carnivore heaven.Amerigo Vespucci
Price: Expensive•Italian•4.8(1,027)Amerigo Vespucci is one of the longest established independent restaurants on the Wharf, celebrating 30 Years serving Italian Cuisine as only true Italians do.
Minutes from the bustle and bankers of Canary Wharf is Amerigo Vespucci, offering the diner
impressive dockside views and a true taste of Italy, right in the heart of London’s financial district. The fresh and imaginative menu offers excellent choice – from simple but bursting-with-flavour pasta dishes to generous-sized meat and fish courses, while daily changing specials make the most of what’s on sale at the local market. Step inside the nautical-themed dining room or enjoy an aperitif on the large alfresco terrazzo and relax in the capable hands of the experienced and friendly waiting staff. Hot and cold starters pave the way for a fresh-food feast.
Best Italian in the Docklands.
Blacklock Canary Wharf
Price: Moderate•International•4.7(1,511)We’ve long loved Canary Wharf and it's rich history of the nearby Docklands and Billingsgate Market, yet Blacklock in a glass tower never quite fit. One look at an old disused warehouse nestled cosily in the corner of Canary Wharf underneath the train tracks of the North Dock and we knew we had found home. Feel the comforting rumble of trains passing overhead conjuring memories of some of our favourite haunts underneath the bridges in NYC - a place where, with the blinds rolled down and away from prying eyes, a decadent lunch can swiftly roll into dinner.Sticks'n'Sushi - Canary Wharf
Price: Expensive•Sushi•4.6(235)Canary Wharf, once a bustling harbour and now home to one of our restaurants, blends industrial history with modern elegance. Enjoy our Japanese menu in an artistic setting where exposed pipeworks meet fairytale ships. Perfect for any dining occasion. Expect quality sushi, salads and sticks from the grill. A sushi restaurant - even for those who don't like fish.
Roe
Price: Very Expensive•Contemporary British•4.8(61)Roe is a modern and spacious restaurant in the heart of Wood Wharf from the trio behind the critically-acclaimed sister restaurant Fallow St James’s and FOWL.
The extensive a la carte menu is divided into nibbles and flatbreads, skewers and grilled options, with larger plates and sides also available. As well as championing modest, British ingredients, Roe’s dishes showcase underused and underappreciated produce. Rare breed meats and carefully sourced fish from the British Isles are central to the menu, as well as regenerative crops like Wildfarmed native grain.Hawksmoor Wood Wharf
Price: Expensive•British•4.5(3,453)Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell). The menu revolves around the best British produce the country has to offer with grass-fed dry-aged ethically reared beef, sustainable seafood from the South coast and some of the biggest hits from the Hawksmoor New York menu.
