Located in downtown Los Angeles, Redbird is carved into one of the city’s most historic edifices, inside the rectory building of Vibiana – a premier wedding, events and performing arts venue. Chef | Owner Neal Fraser and Owner | Operator Amy Knoll have crafted a beautifully dynamic restaurant space within which to enjoy Chef Fraser's critically acclaimed Modern American menu. Wine Director Christopher Dugan’s wine list is well-rounded with great finds from both established and emerging regions throughout the world. Bar Director Tobin Shea's cocktail offerings feature well-balanced, bespoke renditions of the classics, as well as inventive and inspired originals. Indoor and outdoor seating options are available for brunch, happy hour + dinner.

The Main Dining Room offers open air dining under our retractable roof with views of the Vibiana bell tower and the upper balconies of the rectory building. The Lounge offers dining tables along the banquette and windows overlooking 2nd St.

Truthfully, very disappointing. Been here many times, so have higher expectations. The $215 for a cutdown menu was a joke. Wanted to order their Cheese bread, not available. Seemed short staffed. Felt like a giant XMas Cash grab. I don’t mind paying premium prices as long as the experience is worth it. This was Not! The disappointment was that I know they can & have done better.

Frankly, we expected more from a pre-fixe Christmas Eve dinner. Dinner was more than $200pp, plus an optional wine pairing for another $100 plus. The food was good, but not exceptional, table service okay, and nothing in the ambience to make it festive. The staff was friendly and attentive, but we were disappointed in the overall experience. When charging at this level, for a special occasion, guest expectations are elevated and it felt like Redbird responded with business as usual.

The food was excellent, but the service was awful. We didn't get our drink order until right before our main course hit the table, and I had to ask where our drink order was. The staff said the bar had "an issue with our first order." Ok, that happens, but they didn't do anything to make it right on our end. At the end of the meal, they said they would take off the automatic 20% service fee for a group of our size. Great, so now I get to look like the jerk if I don't tip. I believe they should have taken our drinks off the bill, being it took so long. Oh, and by the way, I still tip 20% because it's the holidays.

Too often in LA restaurants are priced like they are a once or twice-a-year super high-end blowout when they're just a nice or sort-of interesting dining experience. Redbird is where we go when we want to treat ourselves to a truly exquisite evening. Their wine list is incredible, but we often get distracted by the beautiful cocktails. Menu is small and crafted at a super high level by chef Neal Fraser. Beautiful location, though it can be chilly on winter nights. We had to ask to move to a table closer to the heat lamps. Service is impeccable but not too much. We're always wowed and leave feeling special and deeply satisfied. Simply put, Redbird is our favorite fine restaurant in Los Angeles. Happy hour is a great deal here if you want to start small and check the vibe.

I just had a group of professional women in business dinner for 8 and our experience was outstanding. The restaurant is so beautiful, warm and such a unique space. It was a beautiful night even in December so it was wonderful to be able to experience the open roof. The service was perfect and truly the food, cocktails and wine 10/10. I cannot say enough great things! Redbird’s wow factor and wonderful and consistent service will make it a restaurant I entertain at for years to come!
