We love this place for happy hour, but found we did not enjoy dinner here at all. The booths are very snug, this is one of the more crowded restaurants we’ve been to. Apparently this is where everyone goes to be sung happy birthday, in the 80 minutes we were there we had to stop our conversation 8 times while the poor waitstaff belted out happy birthday at the top of their lungs. Great for those that want the attention!

I love the food and service, but can’t they do something about the acoustics? It’s nothing but hard surfaces so everything bounces off the walls and amplifies. Too loud for this old lady! Haha!

Excellent food (enchiladas verdes, enchiladas en mole (this dish is recommended by Michelin), empanadas). Several types of margaritas. We are long-time customers!

Going to Zocolo's is rapidly becoming a Holiday tradition. My latest visit just cemented this notion. The food, service, and ambience were great. And keep up the Happy Hour-it's a nice touch.

We had mole enchiladas, red enchiladas, and chile rellenos for dinner. We drank red sangria. Every diner at the table was pleased with their choice. The restaurant was decorated beautifully for Christmas, was hopping with birthday and holiday energy, was loud and bustling. Our waitress and every other server was working hard. Our waitress was apologetic about the restaurant's understaffing, but we took it in stride -- she was pleasant and attentive when with us, and we didn't wait too long for anything. If we're in Sacramento again, we'll gladly return to Zocalo Midtown, without hesitation.

We had a big family party with some specific requests, and two more people added at the last minute. The Zocalo staff (especially our server Brandon!) were wonderfully accommodating and thoughtful! It was festive and gorgeously decorated, and the food was delicious! We had a fantastic time.

Fantastic service for our party of 12. We sat outside, a bit chilly but they brought heaters to keep us warm. Food was excellent and accurate as ordered. The noise level inside and crowd was overwhelming and we wouldn’t have stayed if we had to sit inside. The crowds were overly packed in- they should limit how many are seated or allowed to stand around the bar. We couldn’t get through to use the restrooms even and it was deafening when walking through the restaurant. Just note that Saturday nights are over the top with noise and people!
