Zandunga comenzó en la barra de la cocina, en la sala, el comedor o en el patio, donde la gente llegaba a disfrutar los fines de semana de garnachas y platillos elaborados por Aurora Toledo. En 2002 abrió formalmente sus puertas como restaurante. Hoy en día cuanta con dos restaurantes Zandunga Sabor Istmeño y La Zandunguera donde su compromiso es otorgar a la gastronomía istmeña el lugar que se merece; una de las mejores cocinas del estado de Oaxaca. El patio principal es acogedor, los salones son especiales para momentos inolvidables y la Mezcaleria es una de las mejores selecciones de mezcales de la ciudad

    Tenemos 5 años regresando a comer a Zandunga, en nuestras visitas a Oaxaca. Sin falta, vamos a comer! Quiero expresarle a los dueños que no es necesario cambiar su receta. En esta ocasión, la carne tenía más cebolla que carne. No comprometan sus platillos estrellas por reducir costos. En estas ocasiones, nos fuimos decepcionados al ver que tomaron la decisión de poner más cebolla para bajar la cantidad de carne. PD: mis abuelos eran del Istmo. Y su cocina me conecta con mi niñez

    Really great ambience - a classy restaurant located in an open square. The food presentation was fantastic, the Tamales were outstanding, the most popular dish - the ribs - were good - flavorful and fall of the bone.

    We had a lovely meal at Zandunga. The service was friendly and attentive, the food and ambience lovely, and we were pleased at the reasonable prices too (for our sharing snack platter).
