I think they are still a little new and have some kinks to work out. The prices are outrageous for the quality meal you get. $6 for a single, thin slice of sourdough and plain unsalted butter? We spent almost $200 and rated all of our food 5/10 on taste and about 10/10 on presentation, so they definitely have some growth to do. Our octopus appetizer was beautifully plated but so bland. I couldn’t taste a char but we literally saw him grilling it lol… I think it just could have used some acid to brighten up the flavors a bit. And the beans were undercooked. The portions of the entrees were great, but my short rib was so over salted in random bites throughout and all the veggies were different sizes, so nothing was cooked evenly. The potatoes were slightly under and cold. Service was also a little slow for 8pm on a Friday. Maybe it was because it was Valentine’s Day, but 2 glasses of wine took 25 min.. Our server was incredibly nice though. Overall, I was really looking forward to coming here since they first opened, but the dinner really fell flat for us. We would have ordered dessert, but we looked over at the table next to us and were so disappointed with the portions of their desserts, and our own experience so far, that we didn’t even bother. Maybe we will try again this summer, once they’ve had more time under their belt, but for now I’d rather go to any of the other established restaurants nearby for that kind of money.

The food was beyond expectation. Had the cedar salmon and it was perfectly cooked. Wait staff was very attentive, refilling water, clearing dishes, checking in our needs. Beautiful experience

First visit. Great service & thought the food was wonderful. A little pricy, but not so bad I wouldn't go back. Main course pricing was fine, salads at $ 14 were high & mixed drink at $ 18 high. Staff was very helpful and nice.

We enjoyed our meal, but did not think it lived up to our expectations. We had previously eaten at a Roy Yamaguchi restuarant in Kailua (Goen Dining), and felt that was quite good. Here at Woven, the wait staff was friendly, attentive, and prompt. However, our primary server convinced us that the fried octopus appetizer was to die for, and in our opinion it was not. In fact, it seemed quite bland, although the presentation was nice. I thought that my main dish, the Miso Cod, was very good, but my wife's dish--the beef spare rib--was dry and simply not very flavorful. Maybe just bad luck with this particular serving of beef. My wife did think the scalloped potatoes that acompanied her meal were delicious, and having tried a bite, I agree. Finally, the chocolate decadence cake was very good. So overall, the food was good, but not so good that we want to rush to go back. As for the ambiance, my wife appreciated the clean modern look (compared to the old Shenanagins), but I felt it was surprising antiseptic--more like hospital cafeteria than warm and cozy kitchen. There were not that many people when we were there, but if it were crowded I would expect it to be very noisy.

My plate was so beautiful when it arrived at the table that I needed a moment just to absorb its elegance before eating. Crab crusted halibut, udon noodles and side garnishments. Expect a high level of dining experience.

I had high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience fell short. While we were seated promptly and received water and an edamame snack right away, the seating arrangement was uncomfortable. Our table was positioned in close proximity to others, with diners overlooking us, and both guests and wait staff constantly bumping into my chair and purse. Service was another issue. It took 20 minutes before our server, Kyle J., even came by to take our drink order, which set the tone for the evening. The food, while good, did not live up to my expectations, and the overall wait time for our meals was much too long. I may give this place another try for happy hour, but I won’t be returning for a seated dining experience. Hopefully, service and seating arrangements improve over time.

We've been big fans of Roy Yamaguchi's restaurants for many years and were eager to try Woven. It lived up to our expectations. Four of us went for dinner, and everyone enjoyed everything. We started with drinks (pineapple martini and mai tai) which were delicious. Moving on to appetizers, we shared the Seafood Pillows and Crab Artichoke Dip. Outstanding! For entrees, we had the Misoyaki Glazed Black Cod, the Woven's Paella, and the Slow Cooked Short Rib. Presentation was beautiful, but that paled next to the flavors. We have very attentive service. The only downside for us seniors was the noise level. It is a bit too loud to hear comfortably, so if that's an issue for you, ask for seating accordingly. We highly recommend.!
