For an exceptional second course choose between lobster tempura, scallop ceviche, mushroom potstickers, or a pear and goat cheese en croute. Our delectable fourth course features either a filet and crab salad, potato crusted halibut, rack of lamb, braised short rib, or cauliflower steak. A small footprint in the Modern Hotel, so reservations are recommended. Poke bowl and meatloaf were good. The red wines we ordered were a bit warmer than we like, but otherwise food was good. Service was attentive.

Based on the reviews I was expecting a great dining experience. What I received was mediocre. We ordered burgers as it seemed like a casual restaurant where the burgers would be good. I asked for mine medium rare. I was told by the lovely accommodating server that that would be hard to do as they are two flat patties but she would try. What I got for $23 was a flat tasteless overcooked burger. The only thing that saved it a bit was the toppings and sauce. Honestly I expected better.

This hidden gem, inside The Modern hotel, is literally the best food we’ve had in Sarasota over the past year of dining out. Cocktails are great, staff is attentive and accommodating, and make very helpful recs when asked. Sit on patio. Don’t forget to order the Brussel sprouts. Lots of options for vegan/gf as well as a fantastic burger for meat lovers. Free parking. Walkable to Fogertyville. We love this place!

One of my favorite spots in Sarasota, Wink Wink is a hidden gem tucked at the bottom of the Marriot hotel. They've got serious culinary skills and every item on the food and drink menu is amazing.
