   Live music was being playing in the front dining area, which was nice. But with a party of six I asked to be seated further away so that we could easily converse. They were very accommodating-we had an excellent dining experience!

   Great date-day excursion! Today we took another couple for an enjoyable time for us, new to them. Wilson AR is an oasis in SE Arkansas and the Wilson Cafe is a classy friendly good-food place to dine.

   I got the chicken fried steak, burnt and dripping grease; mashed potatoes, cold and unseasoned; greens, way over seasoned. Wife got the farmers breakfast, subpar. A lot of potential, but poor quality

   It’s a work in progress. Main dining area is a little too brightly lit and can be loud; the tavern in the back is a better choice. Food was good but room for improvement.

    Service was A-1. Appetizers were good. We had the deviled eggs and lemon pepper wings. Dinner, we had the catfish plates. The drinks were good and the mimosa tower. Oh yea, the desserts bourbon pecan pie and the lemon something was good also. Will be going back.
