Great food, nice place with amazing chicken and corn bread. The DJ played good music, but it was too loud; interfered with conversation. But yes, I would return.

The new place makes everything just as delicious as the old one. The best fried chicken on the planet! Crispy juicy tasty and I loved every bite. The green beans are the best you can buy anywhere. The butter beans and rice are fantastic. I also absolutely loved my tea cocktail “sipping on the porch” I think? The people are so nice and it’s a comfortable and stylish dining room. Please please please come have some wonderful southern cooking from Willie Mae’s!

We had eaten at the original Willie Mae's and to us it simply wasn't as good as the original location. Normally I hate to rate a place with just one visit but we can already tell that the original Willie Mae's is going to be missed a lot.

The place was lovely, and the service excellent. We choice fried chicken since we don’t eat often in Sweden. It was delicious, crispy, tasty and juicy. The selection of side dishes were tasty though I found the Mac and cheese a tad runny and not as creamy as I hoped. Don’t get me wrong the Mac and cheese had loads of flavor I just personally don’t care for runny texture. The only issue we had was that we were placed under the speakers, making it super challenging for talking.

Kiera was our server and she was fantastic! Everything we had was great- fried chicken, shrimp, smothered catfish, butter beans. The drinks were a miss but that was rectified. I prefer the old Willie Mae’s location because of the home style feel; but since it burned down, I’m glad we still have the same delicious food.

I wasn’t expecting the fried chicken to be as good as it was. But it was. It was fantastic. I wasn’t expecting the gumbo to be as good as it was.. but it was truly excellent. I was impressed with the red beans and rice despite not having any meat AT ALL! Less impressed with the Mac n cheese .. it wasn’t bad .. just wasn’t the “star” of the sides.. that belonged to the butter beans & yams. The staff was amazing (even gave me some of their personal Mardi Gras beads to take home to the children). Shout out to our server (young gentleman laid back demeanor, friendly and helpful). Will be back
