What you’re paying for is the beautiful setting and delicious tea. The food was not amazing considering the price, and there were a lot of gnats flying around landing on it which made it less appetizing and was also strange given it is winter. This type of thing typically would not bother me, but when you’re paying over $500 you don’t expect to be dealing with bugs.

What a wonderful afternoon tea service! We had an absolutely lovely afternoon. The food was traditional with a modern twist, the teas were delicious, and the holiday decorations were spectacular. Adding to all of this was the harpist who really set the mood.

We went for the Holiday Tea. In years past, there was both valet parking and a gift included in the price of the tea. Neither were available this year. Moreover, our table was right by the hallway bathroom and several other guests bumped into our table. One guest event put their hand on our table, by our food, as they stopped and steadied themselves. The scones and desserts were lovely. The savories were ok, and the lobster was so tough as to be inedible. I had previously recommended this tea to several friends. I will no longer do so based on this experience.

Service & food were just not up to their usual standards this year. We have gone several times in the past & loved it, but we were disappointed this year.

Exquisite afternoon tea in the heart of the Willard Hotel steeped in Washington History. From the harpist, delicious and beautiful canapés, scones, and petit fours, the holiday tea is a feast for the eyes, ears, and stomach. Wonderful service and finally staff. Delightful experience and perfect kickoff to the holiday season. 🎄🫖🎅

Way too expensive for what you get. I did it once and my curiosity is satisfied.
