First time eating at Whitebird - me and my wife decide to have an impromptu date night, and this was the right choice. It was a slow night, only one other table in the restaurant, but we were treated very courteously by the staff. Katie, the bartender, greeted us at the door and took us to our table and was very friendly. Our server, Kenny, was prompt and professional but also personable - even learned a little about his past as a trail setter for rock climbers! The manager, Lesha, also came by a couple of times to see how we were doing and if everything was delicious. The food was amazing. We started with the crab dip, which was served with some lovely toasted sourdough. I could eat it as a meal by itself, honestly, it was so good! For entrees, my wife had the meatloaf (a mix of pork, beef, and venison), and the spicy ketchup glaze they put on it was just the right heat level - enough to feel discovered rather than announced. I had the bone-in pork chop, and I did not regret it. It was topped with a glaze of slightly sweet stewed peaches and nuts that complimented the seasoning of the meat. We also shared the corn and Benton's bacon ragout (for those who are passionate about bacon, you know Benton's is amazing), which was a great addition that tied everything together. For drinks, I had a glass of the Saint Julia Malbec, an Argentinian wine. Lightly fruity on the nose and a little herbaceous - this developed into jammy blackberry and bay leaf on the palate, not sweet, but not mouth dryingly tannic either. My wife had the non-alcoholic cocktail, the Clipped Wings, and loved it. For dessert, we had the peach crisp, tying in thematically with the peaches on the pork, and wow, I'll be trying it again! The pseudo-crust that's on top was a surprise, but a welcome one. It incorporated rolled oats, it seemed, for a very pleasing texture. Volume level was perfect for the slow night. The music could be heard but not loud enough to impede conversation.

It was my wife’s 69th birthday. It was quiet which we love because we can talk. The food was really great. Katie our server was so very attentive. We really appreciate how she treated us. If we have the opportunity again will certainly have dinner there again.

The staff was super awesome for me and my wife's honeymoon dinner. (we are same sex, so it's nice when people are kind in regards to that, especially in TN) We went in a Wednesday night at 8:30 when it wasn't crowded at all. Still a good amount of folks hanging out, drinking and munching. The food was good. Well prepared and flavorful. A very tender steak and I had bass with romesci sauce. The sauce was worth the meal

Highly recommend this venue, you won’t be disappointed! The staff were amazing, very attentive. We were challenged with what to choose from the menu, we wanted to try everything! Our compliments to the chef as the variety/ preparations were absolutely amazing. Enjoyed smoked pork belly, autumn salad, filet, grilled salmon w/herb grit cake (the best salmon ever). For desert we asked our server to bring his favorite, the blackberry peach crisp which won us over! Thank you to all!

Great overall experience! We had a reservation with requested extra space for my granddaughter’s stroller and the staff was accommodating to the tee. It was a great place to visit over brunch with our family.
