   Wonderful! Ragout Bolognese was best I ever had. Beef Wellington melted in mouth! Definitely coming back!

   After being in Newport RI for a few days, we had dinner in a few places. One in particular was exceptional, something we expected from White Horse Tavern. We had eaten here a few years ago and it was excellent, unfortunately this time was not. It was relatively average and seriously promoted as being better than it was. It was still a “good” evening but missed the exceptional that it could have been.

   Everything was wonderful from the drinks to the appetizers to dinner and dessert. The waiter was lovely as well as the bus boy we recommend this restaurant for special occasions.

   Great Reputation, did not disappoint. I have always heard glowing reviews of The White Horse Tavern and have often thought of going but never seemed to find the right time. With my daughter coming for a visit there could be no better time. We splurged some when I visited in Chicago, this matched or beat anything we had there IMHO.

   Exceptional dining experience, however, they definitely up-charge for the historical significance of the restaurant. 2 people dining, 1 drink each, chowder & salad for apps, 2 entrees with 1 desert was $210 w/ tip. The food & service was very good & I would highly recommend it if you are not concerned about price.

   We were visiting Newport and we always try to make it to White Horse Tavern on our visit with friends. The experience was amazing and the food was absolutely fantastic as always. We had a wonderful waitress who also made our visit extremely special! We would definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone who wants to go.
