   The steak which was the most expensive item on the menu was ordered to be cooked to a medium temperature. It was brought to the table very rare. When it was sent back to be cooked more it did not return until after our other guest had finished their meal. Despite the first course literally just getting finished the main course meals were brought to the table without the plates being cleared. The wait staff tried to leave them without clearing the first course place. He seemed frustrated when we insisted the the plates be cleared. The bottom line is that the overall service and consideration of the guest wanting to enjoy their meal together leaves WDC getting a very strong thumbs down. Lots of improvement is needed on the service side. Despite this the food was very good but the service diminished the experience in a big way.

   We are here last year for the first time and loved it. I always tell people to go to white dog when they ask for restaurants. After this experience, I will never do that again. It was my husbands birthday and as he loved the restaurant the last time we went, he wanted to go back. We were sat in the corner of the restaurant, complete with a plant that smacked my sister in law in the head every time the server served the table next to us. Last time we ate, we loved all the pictures of the dogs in the wall, none of which we would could see as we were in the corner. My husband ordered the devil eggs. There was so much mustard in the filling it was all you tasted. When the waitress came over to see how everything was, my husband started to tell her and she just walked away mid sentence. I have never had server ask a question then leave in the middle of the response. His seafood pasta was just ok and my my Asian ribs were over sauced. Just a horrible experience all around. Best thing we ate was the Wegmans cheesecake we picked up for his birthday to have at home.

   My birthday dinner at White Dog Cafe Glen Mills was AWESOME!!! Charlie was our waiter, he was funny and entertaining.. For drinks, Dad had hot tea, and I had soda, and Mom had root beer. For appetizers, I ordered the French Onion Soup, which had sourdough croutons, Swiss, and provolone chesses! It is always my favorite! Mom ordered the Amish Tomato Pie, which was served with baby arugula, and an aged balsamic vinaigrette It's Chef Mike's own recipe; he did an amazing job!!! Mom really enjoyed it!! For the main course, Dad ordered the Verlasso Salmon, which was cooked perfectly. For this Spring Menu, it had a spring onion crust, and was served with grilled asparagus, and a bearnaise sauce. Dad really enjoyed it! Mom ordered the Seafood Primavera, which had bay scallops, shrimp, asparagus, peas, tomatoes, house made rotini pasta, and was served in a pesto cream sauce and topped with lemon breadcrumbs. It was so good, she took the rest home! I ordered the White Dog Pasta from the Kids Menu. It has house made dog shaped pasta, and was served in a parmesan butter sauce. It is great for kids, and even for the kids at heart! It was so good, I took the rest home. It is one of my new favorites! For dessert, Dad ordered a dish of vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup, and a shortbread dog biscuit cookie on top. He enjoyed it, as always. I had a big slice of chocolate cake that they decorated for my birthday! Thank you, Chef Jesse! It was so delicious. It was so good, I took the rest home. Dan, the general manager, Chef Mike, and the AMAZING Chef Jesse all came out to say hello, wish me happy birthday, and to see how the food was. I can't think of a better place to celebrate my birthday. Thank you so much for a delicious dinner, White Dog Cafe Glen Mills! Thanks for making my birthday meal so special. Looking forward to seeing you again soon!

   We had a round table of 10 adults for a birthday celebration. Charles was an amazing server and the food was fabulous! Ambience was perfect - we could hear each other, we were not rushed and it was a super pleasant experience! Thank you White Dog Glen Mills!!! There was one comment that the crab dip was too salty but other than that all were happy!!

   Food was ok, nothing to write home about. Drink service was slow from the bar. Outdoor seating was nice and pleasant. Not in a rush to go back.

   We had a group of 8 of us celebrating our 50th birthdays together and we had a wonderful time. We were seated in the private room and had the best server! (Sorry I can’t remember her name). Everyone loved their meals and drinks. Would definitely recommend!

   It was a wonderful mid-day lunch we normally don’t do and was a pleasant few hours out. Young hostess greeted us with a pleasant smile, atmosphere is always nice, Natalie our waitress was a sweetheart. Would definitely encourage others to visit.
