Very nice. We have been doing White Castle for the last 6 or 7 years for Valentines Day! Not your typical romantic restaurant, but very appropriate for a fun experience out! You don’t need to spend a lot of money to have a good time.

Perfect irreverent VD experience (pun intended). Algonquin IL location is new and well maintained. Remember White Castle only does table service once / year and the servers are high school kids who have probably never served a table before. Even so our dinner was prompt, hot and tasty. Our reservation was early, so I think our table was server Matthew's first table ever. He forgot a couple of things but quickly got the hang of it and did great. We were happy to accommodate him and tipped generously. The manager was also very nice, offering to take pics of the couples on the way out. We've done this a few times and usually take a single person with us so they are celebrated too.

We got there 20 mins before our reservation time. There were 4 couples in front of us. We were waiting in line when the manager said to everyone “it doesn’t matter if you have reservations, everyone is going to have to wait and it’s first come first serve”. After that was said we walked out and went through the drive-through. Very unorganized and unprofessional. While waiting in the drive-through the manager came out and followed a customer to their car accusing them of not paying but they did. Horrible experience for sure.

Despite receiving confirmation calls and texts, the location was closed! Closed without any notification. It put quite a damper on our Valentine’s Day.

My girlfriend and I went with two of our friends for the Valentine’s Day event they have every year. Reservations were for 745pm. Didn’t get seated until 810pm. After we were seated we waited 40 mins just to have menus brought to us. Once we had them everything was fine-but it seemed like disorganized chaos for the first hour we were there. The food was good, and the idea of White Castle Valentine’s Day dinner is unique. Well just never do it again at this location.
