   My server was very patient with as this was my first visit. She helped me with with some great choices from the menu. I ate more than I should have to include their whiskey cake, namesake, and tried to eat the whole thing but gave up and asked for a to go box. I will make an additional trip to try more food items.

   The food and drinks were of excellent quality. There was a minor issue with the wood chips not working for the smoked old-fashioneds that we ordered, but we didn’t think much of it - the drinks were still delicious. On this particular evening, however, our service felt poor and very unwelcoming. It’s completely understandable for our server to be busy on a Saturday night, but her attitude made it feel like we were bothering her. I also did not appreciate how she stood over us while we were paying the bill, when I had asked her for a small box for our dessert. She waited for us to pay the bill, trying to look at the screen to see what her tip would be. This made us feel uncomfortable, and she eventually left to get the box, then we paid the bill. We asked for a printed receipt on the payment terminal but she appeared to have not acknowledged this, and walked away. We then went to the bar to see if we could get the receipt. Along the way we saw our server and asked if we could please get the receipt. She had a few drinks in her hand and snapped back at us saying, “do you see these drinks?” then walked away. We sat at the bar for about a minute, and a kind gentleman brought us the receipt. Again, I understand it is busy on Saturday nights, but the attitude ruined the experience. I come here at about once every month or so, and I have never had problems with the service until now. Usually I sit at the bar and the bartenders are top notch with their service. This is my second time sitting at a table. The first time was great. Now I would think twice before bringing a date or client to sit at a table.

   can’t go wrong with goat cheese fondue and drunken mussels. service was excellent with frequent check ins but no rush. perfect date night!

   I love Whiskey Cake and take many of my out-of-town guests there on a regular basis. However, the noise level is really harsh. At peak times it is impossible to hear the person right across the table from you. I will continue to frequent the restaurant, but only at off hours.

   Always a great place to have a celebration and our waitress did just that. She was thoughtful and remembered we had two events in one. Food was delicious and dessert also. Cocktails are fabulous.
