   Took my wife for our anniversary as this was one of the first nice restaurants I took her to when we were still dating 28 years ago. We were not disappointed, it has not changed over the years. Better ambiance in the summer but not bad even on a drizzly November evening next to the fireplace.

   The best seafood chowder! We had an excellent salad, tomato soup, seafood choweder, french dip & a reuben. My husband and I shared everything and enjoyed the waterfront view. Mandy did an excellent job as our server. I'm glad we made a reservation, the group after us didn't and were told it would be a 25 minute wait. Charlevoix is a charming town and a beautiful fall destination. We'll be back!

   This was, by far, my favorite dining experience in a long time!!! The food was AMAZING!! Several of us got the whitefish, one got the walleye and one the prime rib. Each dinner was outstanding. The Charlevoix-tini was one of the best martinis I have had. I had requested a window for the view and that is exactly what we got. I wanted to treat my friends to a classic Charlevoix dining experience and The Weathervane delivered!!!

   We had a great experience here! The new menu had a nice variety, and the chef knocked it out of the park. Adding to our fun was our server, Mandy. She was efficient , knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor! We are locals and have been coming here for years. The Weathervane is back on our frequent flyer list!!

   The property is right next to the canal with the drawbridge, connecting Lake Charlevoix to Lake Michigan, so there was boat traffic and terrific views. I used to go here when we spent summers up here, and frankly, there is little that has changed. Our meals were perfectly prepared and the service was perfect. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

   Menu has too many sandwiches, not appropriate for dinner. Liquor pricing highest in town. Loyalty Rewards Program dropped.

    Well, the Weathervane isn’t what it used to be. Very limited menu, food was okay for what they had to offer. Not a top choice as in the past many years. The location is great, but doesn’t offer the first class dining experience that we have been associated with from past years. Management needs to bring in a new concept, change the menu and bring back some enthusiasm that made this restaurant a success and a place where people would enjoy coming back. If you just want to have cocktails, then this place would be appropriate on a nice summer day.
