One of the best restaurants in Walnut Creek and the best French restaursnt I’ve been to outside of Paris! Must have dishes-duck pate, french onion soup, mussels, lamb shank and crème brulet. To die for. Also great service and ambience. You must try this as soon as possible!!!

Absolutely outstanding and great value for the price. Surprised that we did not get to try it sooner. Will be back soon. Was a great way to have our Christmas lunch.

I wholly appreciate any restaurant that opens on Christmas Day and truly appreciate all of the staff who were onsite today to serve us our meal. That said, we experienced several problems today, the biggest being our server. She'd be a tough cookie in the greasiest of spoon restaurants, but whoever thought she was a good fit for Le Sen clearly wasn't thinking. "What would you recommend? I'm allergic to just about everything but customers seem to like this and that." "Ready to order? Not quite, but we'd like to order wine and a starter? No, we're too busy today and ya gotta order everything at the same time." That her voice was piercing and like nails on a chalkboard only contributed to the weirdness of the afternoon. The fried calamari starter was way over salted, as was my caesar salad and my husband's risotto. Seeing how this whole thing started, I abandoned the entrees and ordered the cream of mushroom soup (also too salted, but palatable) and the caesar. My 94-year-old aunt, who we'd taken out for Christmas, loved everything. She had the Coq au Vin. We won't be back, which is sad. We'd really looking forward to our lunch at Le Sen.

Nice Christmas lunch since our family was gone this year. Onion soup was delicious. Crab cakes very good - apparently the crab came from Canada since our crab season has not begun.

Food was excellent, service was very friendly, but took a long time to even take our order. Not all drinks arrived at the same time, so we had to wait until all had drinks. Appetizers/salads arrive fine, but entrees took 40 minutes after that to arrive. They were piping hot, so it was not the waiter's fault. All food (even French fries!) was top notch. In summary, I highly recommend this restaurant for food, friendliness, and ambience.

Initially offered a table next to the entrance door. Elected to wait for a better seating. 20 minutes later we were seated in the main dining room. Definitely worth the wait. The seating was full, so service was moderately slow. The main entrees of scallops and short ribs were well prepared. The flourless chocolate cake was well presented and tasted great! If you were patient, it was a very good dining experience. Yes, we would come back again!

This has been the restaurant of our choice for beautiful food, wonderful ambience and the people are so nice. We have been going to La Sen for over 10 years. I believe we had our first dinner there when they had just opened the Concord Restaurant before moving to Walnut Creek. We have a special table and they always treat us with such poise and kindness. Love it

Had another excellent dinner at La Sen. I had the special- seafood risotto with shrimp, scallops calamari. It was amazing. My wife had the duck breast which is always great. Highly recommend.
