We were impressed with the quality of the food. Seasonal ingredients well- prepared and tasty. We liked the setting and it was convenient for the theatre. The service was friendly and accurate. Would go there again.

Very friendly staff but forgot the sparkling water we’d ordered. The steak we ordered medium-rare arrived closer to well done but they changed it without a fuss and gave us a free glass of wine to say sorry. The aubergine parmigiana and the risotto were very nice, as was the pistachio cake for pudding.

Really delicious food (crab risotto and truffle chips get a special mention), Bloody Mary was really super, great fun maitre d’, sleek Hoxtony design, loved it.

Relaxed atmosphere and delicious well sized potions. And tables far enough apart to not be bothered by noisy clients. Some dishes had run out early which is not ideal given the small menu. All in all a good experience.

We had a lovely time at Walnut. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. Lots of lovely tasting salads. I was a bit disappointed that my first choice (haddock chowder) had been eaten up by previous lunchtime customers but my second choice was delicious t.oo

Perhaps a bit more expensive than other places in the neighbourhood but food is excellent and very generous - we didn't have room for dessert. It's def worth trying if you live nearby - just a shame it wasn't a bit busier on a Saturday night.
