The food was excellent and creative, reminding us of an upscale Mexican restaurant back in our hometown of Austin, Texas! The atmosphere was fun and friendly, and the service was brisk, making it a perfect pre-theatre choice.

Paulina did a great job and the main course was good. The Tiramisu was terrible and just doused in sugar syrup - no coffee or cocoa flavour avoid for dessert. Fab thing is the Wahaca for One. Pricey but good.

Had a lovely birthday celebratory meal before going to the theatre, my only complaint was when offered the complimentary churros I asked if we could have a little breather before they were brought over and was told they were too busy to hold off on the dessert (having been given a pick of the table we sat at because it was quiet) so it was have them then or not at all. After they brought the churros over my husband then ordered a dessert as he doesn’t like churros, so really probably didn’t get rid of us any quicker. But your food so nice it hasn’t put me off returning to Wahaca just might not go to the Covent Garden one again.

It's been a while since we last went to a Wahaca restaurant due to being unlucky with queues when visiting London, but ate here now that it's possible to book a table. Food and service were both excellent and overall decent value particularly for such a tourist heavy location and recent inflationary pressures.

The best thing about Wahaca was the helpful, friendly staff. The food, however, for a Mexican restaurant, I thought was bland, borderline tasteless. If you’re the kind of person who orders a Korma at an Indian restaurant, then Wahaca is for you. My partner says their dish was more flavourful. Also, we were told the food would arrive at our table as soon as it was ready. And this did happen. The time difference was quite long though; I’d almost finished my meal before my partners arrived. I wouldn’t write Wahaca off, but if there was another choice, I’d probably take it.

Love the food at Wahaca Coven Garden. Good variety and new choices on the menu. Good service for a pre theatre dinner. I feel it is a little overpriced but the quality is amazing.

Cinco de Mayo done RIGHT at Wahaca in Covent Garden! Had the most incredible meal to celebrate—full of flavor, fun, and festive vibes. Started with the Pibil Pork Tacos—tender, slow-cooked pork with that perfect balance of smoky and zesty. Followed it up with a slow-cooked burrito (so comforting and satisfying), plus crispy nachos on the side because… how could I not? And the grand finale? The Tres Leches Tiramisu. A Mexican twist on a classic dessert that was moist, creamy, and just melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The whole evening was a perfect way to toast Cinco de Mayo—amazing food, great energy, and super friendly staff.
